Namco released the following images from the japanese GTA-clone, Frame City Killer. There are some really huge improvements since the last time we saw it, but it's still hard to believe that this game uses Unreal Engine 3. But if they've made this huge improvements during the last weeks, who knows how it will look when it's released?

I know a lot of people rag on this game, but I reckon it could be a LOT of fun if the freeform Hitman style gameplay is pulled off! Some of the shots remind me of Shenmue actually.

Well, really, the only thing that bothers me is that first gen, particularly launch titles are often hugely niche based. It seems to me that the new hot thing is "A BUNCH OF PEOPLE IN LARGE OUTDOOR ENVIRONMENTS!" and that's basically what we're shown most of the time in trailers right now. Even Kameo, for some unknown reason, has a bunch of trolls now.

I think this could still be a nice game of course, but I have a Breakdown vibe I can't quite shake. We'll see.

Sorry but the doesn't look anywhere near a GTA-clone.
Anyways, this game looks awesome to me, and it's only going to get better.

this screens look terrible. even the old gta looks better than this crap. no way that this is unreal3 engine

I swear I've had the worst luck with all the GTA games I've bought if they look better than this. I best get my TV (or my eyes) fixed!

Well, first of all, this looks better than GTA to anyone half-capable of.. I dunno.. LOOKING.

Second, the unreal engine doesn't magically make stuff look good, you've got people that have to make things pretty and these people obviously just.. don't.

I can't comment objectively on this game since I'm a die-hard Namco fan and like mostly all their games but it doesn't look too bad graphically. And yeah I really like the first screen too ;)
