Frogwares reveals The Sinking City

Frogwares reveals The Sinking City

Frogwares was initially the developer of the upcoming Call of Cthulhu game for Focus Home Interactive. It's no longer the case as you learned recently since Cyanide has been working on it for quite some time. But Frogwares didn't abandon their idea of an open-world investigation Lovecraftian game and therefore here is the reveal of The Sinking City. A screenshot and a couple of artworks inside for this title that is "bigger than what [the studio] ever made". The team will bring a demo version at GDC.

I wish them luck, looks and sounds interesting, good to see the little studios spreading their wings so to speak :)

I loved the hell out of that Call Of Cthulhu Dark Corners of the Earth game, the health system was insane and the chases were intense. I'd love another game along those lines.

Hard Rain with Christian Slater and Morgan Freeman comes to mind...

On my top three of the best games ever made.

Looks promising. Really hope they pull this one off.

  • GriftGFX
GriftGFX The SFV tournament at TGS is going to be fucking awkward if Infiltration plays. (16 minutes ago)
  • Seth
Seth @Moonwalker: plus the last 2 trully great R* games were long time ago for me (Bully and SA), so they have to do a lot to top these in my list. (2 Hours ago)
  • Seth
Seth @Moonwalker: even though i'm interested to see their 1st game for this gen, i'll try to not get hyped too much.It sounds good and all, but fuck lknows if all these things will work so well. (2 Hours ago)
  • KORNdog
KORNdog @Moonwalker: its especially weird given the brutality of the finishers. it's like they had some weird moral objection to showing blood...after animating the violent neck stabbing. lol (2 Hours ago)
  • Moonwalker
Moonwalker @AMDman18: Xbox One X. Been seeing the lack of blood since E3. I thought that was just for the show. But nope. Such a weird decision of them. (3 Hours ago)
  • Moonwalker
Moonwalker @Seth: That and you can swim. It's just a little something but more and more it started to look like we wouldn't be able. But it is :) (3 Hours ago)
  • KORNdog
KORNdog instead of completely optional collectibles we're forced to put up with their survival systems that affect every facet of the game...yeah, give me backpacks any day of the week! lol (4 Hours ago)
