Frogwares reveals The Sinking City

Frogwares reveals The Sinking City

Frogwares was initially the developer of the upcoming Call of Cthulhu game for Focus Home Interactive. It's no longer the case as you learned recently since Cyanide has been working on it for quite some time. But Frogwares didn't abandon their idea of an open-world investigation Lovecraftian game and therefore here is the reveal of The Sinking City. A screenshot and a couple of artworks inside for this title that is "bigger than what [the studio] ever made". The team will bring a demo version at GDC.

I wish them luck, looks and sounds interesting, good to see the little studios spreading their wings so to speak :)

I loved the hell out of that Call Of Cthulhu Dark Corners of the Earth game, the health system was insane and the chases were intense. I'd love another game along those lines.

Hard Rain with Christian Slater and Morgan Freeman comes to mind...

On my top three of the best games ever made.

Looks promising. Really hope they pull this one off.

About the game

What's up?
  • Nietzsche
Nietzsche What bothers me most is it truly is creating gambling habits in small kids that also play these games (2 Hours ago)
  • Nietzsche
Nietzsche @KORNdog: exactly, it’s nothing short of predatory. It’s literally using reasearch about the chemical reactions of the human brain to get people to spend more money than they want to (2 Hours ago)
  • KORNdog
KORNdog They want you spending hundreds amassing a room full of dollar store garbage while you search out a t-shirt that actually looks like it wasnt designed by a monkey, (2 Hours ago)
  • KORNdog
KORNdog I don't like lootcrate/nerd block for the same reasons. Yes you MIGHT get something cool, but that glimmer of hope is exactly what those companies are exploiting. (3 Hours ago)
  • KORNdog
KORNdog But obviously thats just a single pay ent pirchase. Pubs want you spending weekly unlocking content you might not not even want or need. (3 Hours ago)
  • KORNdog
KORNdog @Nietzsche: i agree. There os no justifiable reason to have the randomised element of loot boxes. The stuff should just be avalible in a store and you pay for what you want. (3 Hours ago)
  • Nietzsche
Nietzsche but I do think overwatch does it in a much less harmful way than most others (5 Hours ago)
