Assuming at least average reviews before release day I'll be giving it a shot.
edit: and if samhain81 is at least half right it means the game should be half decent, what with Pure being a good game and Motorstorm being an abomination. It's about time a game came along to make up for it.
This trailer seems to have built up my excitement for this game again. I started to get distracted by all the negative comments people were posting but now it just looks like plain, simple off-road (mostly) fun. Obviously with trailers of this type they've gone and pasted together the best parts and left out any dull moments the game might have but hey, I was interested before anyway.

In the quest of making the shittiest racing game possible, "dirt" was great attempt, only "GRID" is more shitty than that. At least thats what I thought untill I saw this. Been racing game fan since before you were born and I dont know should I cry or laugh to this.

hopefully it has some awesome smugglers run styled multiplayer modes in there. even if it was just a glorrified game of tag, capture the flag and keep away.

Each to their own also, I've been playing racing games going all the way back to Pitstop and Pole Position. GRID and DIRT weren't that bad, ok for a bit of fun but not a patch on GTR, Forza 2, rFactor, GT, GTL etc.
I think I will probably pick up FUEL if it's half decent.
hahaha looks f*cking horrible, like every codemasters game recently. How the hell are they still in business? For example that car dropping to ground ath the beginning looked so bad in gfx/fysics wise, I laughed out loud.

This looks like one more Codemasters racing game, except it lacks the graphics, lol. And I get a feeling someone will comment something like "go play your boring simulations", and it's not about that, it's about fun physics/handling--regardless of if they are arcade or simulation. Even the most arcade of games should add some sense of weight to a car.
I doubt that very much my friend unless you were playing games like pong when it first came out like I was.

Fuel will also be a first day purchase because it looks what this kind of game ought to be, fun. for realism i take out my 315bhp roadster and go to the race track.
This looks like my kind of game anyway. I know it sounds sad, but I like World Racing (the one where you could only ever drive Mercs), because I could go wherever I wanted (World Racing 2 had Egypt, which was wicked for driving up the pyramids and rocketting off the other side). That's the only thing that pisses me off about PGR, is that I see these other streets in the game, but I can't go down 'em!!! Invisible walls too are a real pet-hate. There's just no excuse for it.
<RANT OVER>!
