Looks good but it's basically a $60 movie. I never replayed Heavy Rain.. If they cut the price in half it would be a bigger success I think

Buying this day one. Hevy rain was my GOTY when it was released. Great game. So happy cage stuck with the context action gameplayof heavy rain. Was worried theywhere going to go more "traditional". Paranormal stuff is worrying since it was handled so ham fistedly in fahrenheit, but in cage i trust. Lol

Well a movie is going to be the same no matter how many times you watch it. Unlike this it will have different scenarios depending on your choices, and literally could be played a few different time and have different experiences each time played.

I loved HeavyRain for what it did, they could have done some things better and i hope this fixes some things. But being completely different experience then most games and having more of a attachment to characters, due character development and story telling. This is exactly what we need in video games now.

There are some talented peope at Quantic Dream, but Cage is just such a crappy story writer... They should get rid of him. I played every Quantic Dream game since Omikron and while they were all interesting the stories fell apart badly in all of them.

He wants to be a movie director..he doesnt really care about making games. But i dont buy into the whole 'this isnt a game' speel. Heavy Rain seemed like an evolution of the point and click adventures of last gen, i'd gladly play more of that. The only thing that concerns me with this Beyond is that you're one character throughout...so it will be interesting to see just how choices effect each players game differently. The best thing about HR is that i and all my mates that played it had a different experience's with a different outcome's.

For me this game was easily Sony's best showing at E3.

This. I ended up playing Heavy Rain last year and to be perfect honest, I'm still not sure what the fuss was all about.

I understand it was different, though not exactly groundbreaking but last time I checked, "different" doesn't exactly mean BETTER.

"I hate these type of games, so I'm going to make sure I comment on each and every update that this game gets!" I do not understand this mentally. There are 100s of other games that are not like this that are released every year. Why insert yourself into a discussion that you admittedly have no interest in the topic?

As for the game, it looks interesting even though David Cage is like our M. Night Shyamalan. I'll keep a look out for it because it at least looks different from every other game coming out.

The day we stop hearing from stupid people on the internet is the day we stop acknowledging their existence....Think about it...fueled by hate, hated by all.

On the game however, I agree. This game has a pretty neat story in place and they can do a lot of really neat things now both technically and game-play wise with the paranormal. I'm keeping an eye on this one for sure.

Yepp. Its a shame that this type of games dont go multi-platform.

I wish I had a PS3 only for this and Heavy Rain.
Those two are imo the only exclusives which have no substitute...

I enjoyed Heavy Rain a lot and I admire Cage for daring to push the boundaries, but the incredibly silly supernatural nonsense in this looks like a huge mis-step. Heavy Rain worked largely because it was plausible, but this is a million miles away from that.

The supernatural premis works fine, it's whether they handle it well. It's already looking better then the confused metrix slo mo kung fu shit of fahrenheit tho...which is good.

They made some pretty valid points in my opinion. For example, I would actually be interested in the game if it wasn't $60 as well, but as it is, I couldn't justify that kind of money. Just because people have concerns about a game doesn't mean they absolutely hate it.

Different people have different tastes in games, but I don't think that precludes them from being in the conversation. I have actually had other gamers convince me to try games in these forums based on replies they gave to something I pointed out (see Utalkin2me's reply for a good example). I think forums would be pretty boring if everyone just sat in a big circle jerk arguing about who wants the game more than the next guy.

Except games aren't forever 60 dollars. So yeah there's that. It's not about having concerns or wanting a circle jerk. It's about fundamentally hating or being uninterested in the very idea and premise of the game but constantly inserting yourself into the discussion. It's cool. You don't have to like it. But like go away if you don't want anything to do with it.

Except there's all that replayability of the different choices, and games aren't always at $60, what's more the problem is day 1 mentality or bust.

I will buy this for €100 easily. Keep up the innovation Mr Cage. Filters out all the children. But I wouldn't pay €10 to go see a movie lol, I'm not even comparing the 2.

to be honest i've not seen much 'innovation' from this title yet. I have to admit that before it was shown, and hearing that you'd have powers, i kinda hoping for a combination of say HR point and click adventure game mentality and FF13's battle system during fight scenes.

dont you think that would be kinda cool...add some depth to the combat. Obviously it wont work that well with her powers now being the possession of people..but when i first heard about it i thought it might be more a mutation of her having the powers

i'd rather it not be combat taken from one of the most shallow FF titles to date tho.
