This is like Resident Evil 4, with updated graphics, new moves, different setting and plot. I love it!

The controls in RE4 were not dated, they worked fine. RE5 is now my most wanted game this gen. Blows away everything I've seen so far on any platform.

RE4's controls sucked ass. they were dated. the keys to survival in a situation like this are running and shooting. Why we can't do both at the same time is beyond me. the presentation and graphics on the game are simply amazing though...

it took tomb raider like 10 years to finally bring the controls upto date, and they were all the better for it, RE needs to do the same, RE4 controls are awful, wii version marginally better, you should AT LEAST be able to sidestep while aiming and walk backwards, im not talking full FPS style movement

You can't do both because then it would be an adventure game anymore, it'd be a shooter. Plenty of those around if you wanna play one.

Well... this looks like a shooter to me. OK maybe not a shooter, but still, it's nothing like RE 1, 2, 3. RE4 was already pretty much action oriented, so they might as well come up with some smoother controls. But I'm no big fan of RE4 so, hey, don't listen to me. ^^

Doesn't excite me nearly as much as the first RE4 village footage did, but I guess I can't complain that they're not changing such an amazing formula. And there's nothing wrong with Chris' design. You guys are just playa hatin'

Great trailer.. never really got into this franchise but I'm getting more and more interested in it as we see more of this. Perhaps I should give myself a bit of an RE primer..

I guess all those Capcom`s investments in DR and LP engines are starting to pay off.

What on God’s Green Earth was that? I don’t even know what to say…..except wow. It’s beautiful, scary, and even better you get this sense of utter hopelessness watching it. How the hell are you suppose to survive an onslaught of axe wielding zombies who all decide to chuck their weapons at you AT THE SAME TIME? I can’t wait till ‘09.

I think it's technically RE4 style, but yeah.. looks like it will play a lot like that game. Which makes sense, since everyone seemed to love RE4.

Darn awesome trailer. I can't wait. Though the realism of the shooting into a mob of (zombie) people does give me a revolting feeling. Seems like realism also has it's drawbacks. Well, nonetheless I'm sure Res5 will sell by the buckets. And I will be one of the first to pick it up...
