Okay, this game is starting to look much, much better than it did before, in my opinion.

My hype has been pretty low, but it's starting to grow on me, and that's a good thing. Maybe with all this Persona 3 I'm playing, I'm looking at this game graphically, and projecting a lot of the things that make me love Persona 3 onto it.

The summon looked way cool, and I guess I may not entirely mind it being out on the field in the fashion that it is. I'll just imagine it being someone fighting with their Persona. I'm having hell with the boss in that game right now, but I know I can win. I refuse to go back and do any grinding, because victory is practically within my grasp.

Keep up the fantastic work Blim. Hopefully there are some more FFXIII gameplay vids :D

Looking extremely hot. Cannot wait until next year (or this year if I magically learn Japanese).

Man, when will Squeenix learn that putting English subtitles in their Japanese release, then releasing full localized English versions later will put more money in their pockets?

looks amazing...the city setting shown in other vids looks awesome. Can you get more footage of running around on the field? The environments are a massive part of FFXIII, as important as the gameplay to me. Cheers.

I remember trying to film FFX at the spring 2001 TGS show, some dude from the square booth came over (afew times) and asked me not to film. I think they actually liked it, and it was all just some reverse psychology from their side. :)

Not sure what's happening in the fight sequences, but I sort of like it. Never tried FF before, but may just give this a go. Despite some fears it might be too "Japanese". Can't knock it till you try it I suppose. With games that's a fair assessment. Just games mind you.

Gorgeous, and after The Last Guardian my most wanted game. This gen has been pretty poor for RPGs so far (with Lost Odyssey the exception), so this needs to be great.

Japan has been getting their fair share of JRPGs lol :p On this side the 360 is of course getting the most western RPGs and i don't think that makes it a poor gen for RPGs, funny how they get most JRPGs too, though they are still not that many... But i think, if you compare it to the PS2 era, then yeah this gen is lacking in the RPG department.

It's certainly looking spectacular. I had my doubts after the initial footage, but it's clearly in great shape now.

Really, really beautiful. Hopefully this goes some way to debunking the whole "downgraded" nonsense that has been doing the rounds. Of course you shouldn't really judge graphics from an off screen video but it's clearly a very pretty game.
My question is, where is the TGS Trailer? Surely Square Enix have prepared one.

PlumbDrumb are there Australian versions of the big corporate gaming sites, like Gamespot, IGN, etc? I wan't reviews of some of their censored titles. (14 minutes ago)

bleachedsmiles i hear they're making a new Duke Nukem game (5 Hours ago)
  • SimonM7
SimonM7 Oh it's still very playable, it just doesn't really evoke the same things it used to. Its approach to interaction was a HUGE DEAL, and that part of it is disappearingly tame now. (5 Hours ago)
  • GriftGFX
GriftGFX I've only played it on PC, but I can't imagine that the XBLA was significantly rougher. I mean, Doom worked on XBLA, and was still mighty playable... so I'm surprised Duke isn't. (5 Hours ago)

SimonM7 ...I have a lot of respect and fond memories of all those games. They were made with a sense of glee and genuine excitement that you *don't find* anymore. Except in No More Heroes or something. (5 Hours ago)
