Gameplay of Heavenly Sword in Heroes!

Now this is what I call a nice surprise. Heroes is one of the best series in the US right now, and if it's also used as a way to promote upcoming PS3 games I just don't see anything wrong with it. In the latest episode (18), some of the characters are seen playing Heavenly Sword, and I've captured that part so everyone can enjoy how great this looks.

The game looks amazing and as I already said with my first line, reminds me of God Of War which of course can only be a great thing.

I think thats a great move considering the relation between nikki and her warrior side! the two pair VERY well! what a great way to advertise the game while at the same time... hinting at Nikki's darker traits.

This will do for now though, I'm not expecting GoW III for another year, this is out before x-mas if rumours are to be beielved.

I would be extremely surprised if we saw GOW III before 3-4 years from now. I want the Santa Monica team to really get the most out of the ps3 like they did with the ps2, so that's gonna take some time. I wouldnt be surprised if we didn't see GOW III till near the end of the ps3's life cycle.

I doubt it will take that long, but it wil lbe a few years. And I think heavenly sword is slated for a June release. :D

Visually, sure, as they'll have a lot more time to develope the game. Gameplay-wise? I wouldn't be so sure. GoW is in the middle of hack 'n slashes like Champions of Norrath and action games like Devil May Cry. That is, it isn't as simple a button-smasher as hack 'n slashes, but it's nowhere near the depth of Devil May Cry (or Heavenly Sword). So, unless the battle system of God of War III is drastically different (= has a lot more depth) from GoW 1 or 2, I doubt it will at least have as deep a fighting system as Heavenly Sword. It may be fun with all the gore & blood & exaggerated violence, but gameplay-wise I wouldn't be so sure that it will DEFINITELY win Heavenly Sword.

Because, if you've read about it, Heavenly Sword's battlesystem has hell-of-a lot of depth. In some ways, it might have even more depth than Devil May Cry 3 (though, DMC3 might be better in other ways).

Gameplay is more then just battle systems though Azu, it includes puzzles and everything. GoW has better platforming elements, and some pretty cool puzzles.

Though I agree the battle system isn't as deep, it's still a helluva lot of fun. =D

I just noticed this on Heroes last night, and the graphics were SICK!.
but the person playing wasn't doing anything!

Man, I need to play this game in full.
This will sell PS3's, no matter price.
