Awesome. I loved every moment of this game when I got this. I loved the bonus art gallery. Also how you can change the intro of the game so you can make some random dude pose like a girl at that one scene, lol.

I was looking forward to this, but no online play, plus the removal of mission mode has killed it. It just seems like a stripped down port of the DC version, instead of having any sort of improvement.

And you can bet the only reason they removed the missions is so they can charge us $10 for each one of them.

Geezzz I guess they shouldn't have even bothered then :S

Look great to me, graphics still hold up pretty well too.

I won't be getting this as I will be playing SC4, they should have released this like a year ago when SC4 was a ways off, seems pointless being so close to its release.

Are you serious?! So we are gonna get some arcade version instead of the full game? That sucks.

To bad!

I play Soul Calibur on Dreamcast via VGA on my Panasonic FULL HD Projector.
It STILL looks unbelievable.
Folks this game is from 1998, and it uses less then 60% the power of Dreamcast.

How schould DC-Games look in 2004 or now, if the Full power were under controll...

I can't believe they're bringing it back! Great news. I hope they release a PSN version though. Like DMC I'd rather keep the entire series on one console

Why does this look better than 2, 3, and 4.

It's a Dreamcast-Game (port).

I have to agree with DavidDC, plugged through with the VGA adaptor it still looks pretty impressive for a 9 yr old game.
I have a feeling this is the port of the playstation one powered arcade version from 1998, hence why it has no console modes available.
That was of course graphically inferior to the console version.

I'm pretty sure (just by observing the game, and screens) that it's not a port of the Dreamcast version of this game. This is an arcade port. It's not a stripped down port of the Dreamcast version, it's a port of the arcade version.

And it is too bad. No sale.

About the game

What's up?
  • GriftGFX
GriftGFX @KORNdog: Still very different. More like Diablo but the "game feel" is not as polished. Systems are more well designed, but I have to give it to Diablo when it comes to fit and finish. (5 Hours ago)
  • KORNdog
KORNdog @GriftGFX: like divinity? Better or worse? Might be one i dust off the xbox for. (6 Hours ago)
  • GriftGFX
GriftGFX The economy is unique and will probably seem strange to new players.. but every system is cleverly tied together in PoE. (6 Hours ago)
  • GriftGFX
GriftGFX And yes.. the passive skill tree is pretty insane. It has a healthy mix of rigid decision making in its passive tree and flexibility in the active skill system. (6 Hours ago)
  • GriftGFX
GriftGFX Path of Exile is an endlessly playable action RPG and Pillars of Eternity is a turn-based single player game w/ a party system. (6 Hours ago)
  • GriftGFX
GriftGFX No they are not.. they are both RPGs and they both have isometric cameras but that's where the similarities end. (6 Hours ago)
  • Tiz
Tiz I always confuse the PoE abbreviation with Pillars of Eternity. Are they even the same type of game? (6 Hours ago)
