GOOD SHEPHERD ENTERTAINMENT REVEALS CREATIVEFORGE GAMES’ PHANTOM DOCTRINE, A TACTICAL CONSPIRACY THRILLER
The hearts and minds behind Hard West return with their most ambitious game yet, coming next year to consoles and Windows PC
AMSTERDAM, Netherlands and WARSAW, Poland – Aug. 22, 2017 – Good Shepherd Entertainment and independent developer CreativeForge Games have officially revealed Phantom Doctrine, a turn-based tactical Cold War espionage game from the creators of Hard West for consoles and Windows PC.
Set in 1983 during the Cold War, Phantom Doctrine is an alternate history thriller in which players lead The Cabal, a secret organization dedicated to fighting a global conspiracy committed to controlling the world by pitting world leaders and nations against one another. Deception is the great equalizer as players will have to operate from the shadows to exploit every vulnerability - ruthlessly interrogate and brainwash enemies and allies alike to create double agents, saboteurs or unwitting collaborators.
Develop and defend your base of operations, recruit agents from the world’s many factions, and research new tech to give your operatives the advantage. Campaign missions deliver sprawling tactical encounters that revolve around two key pillars: stealth and explosive, all-out attacks. Your team of operatives can be deployed into the field either fully armed or disguised as civilians, allowing them to infiltrate dangerous areas undetected at the expense of heavy weapons and armor.
Decode and analyze your way through immersive investigations to expose far-reaching conspiracies and elusive targets. Delve into the oppressive dark corners of the volatile 1980s with atmospheric visuals and an unnerving soundtrack by award-winning composer Marcin Przybylowicz of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt fame.
For those attending PAX West 2017, Phantom Doctrine will have a hands-on demo available by appointment at Booth #6103. If you’d like to set one up, just let us know and we’ll get it sorted.
Phantom Doctrine will launch in 2018 on Windows PC and consoles. For the latest updates as development progresses, please visit www.facebook.com/PDoctrineGame, and follow the teams on Twitter @GoodShepherdEnt and @PhantomDoctrine.
@docLEXfisti: i had a feeling the second would be better, just because it didn,t have to deal with the fluff of building up to getting a ship and exploring strange new worlds. (5 Hours ago)
@Moonwalker: did you ride a donkey? (6 Hours ago)
Man, "The Orville" is much better than expected... EP1 was good, but EP2 was great - nice! (6 Hours ago)
@Moonwalker: i've never been to Spain. Would like to go there some day. I've flown a bit though. Riding civil and military planes. Piloted Cessna 172. sat in a F-16D this summer. :) (8 Hours ago)
But Malaga was great. Loved the weather, the hills and mountains. We went to the sea, a zoo, cable car up a mountain and last but not least visited their red light district too, haha. (12 Hours ago)
And it was quite a sight to eventually be above the clouds or see nothing but clouds or sky and no land below you, lovely. (12 Hours ago)
