now offline co-op sounds like a perfect fit for this game
Why havent they made a full feature length CG movie of this franchise yet? the games always have cutscenes that put most hollywood efferts to shame
the writting isnt up to scratch for a full CGi movie imo. at least concerning humour. a crack in time was dreadfully unfunny. thankfuly the game itself was great. but some of the jokes and one liners where cringe worthy.
so glad it's gone co-op. i'm a little worried about the way it looks tho. it seems slightly isometric...almost PSN title quality, rather then full disc title. not a problem per-se, but if it looks like a PSN game, but comes on a disc (considering it's late release i'm assuming it will) then it's going to be a bit dissapointing. hopefully it was just the camera angles used for the trailer.
I've actually never really found Ratchet & Clank actively laugh inducingly funny. Captain Quark has a few moments of funnyness but it's all pretty stock overly confident goofy super hero that Darkwing Duck did better.
But there's a more passive charm and glee behind it that I find very appealing. Sorta the same attitude that goes into giving them titles like Up your Arsenal, really. This willingness to give things a wacky undertone but playing it pretty straight within the game's context.
I also really like Ratchet's design and find him a genuinely sympathetic straight man kind of character to contrast the game's absurdities.
