Barely interesting. I suppose Namco should ask Capcom to make trailers for them...

More of the same. Didnt make for a compelling game last time, not sure why they think it's going to be any different this time.

Why do you want to start paying 1600 msp for trailers? Oh you mean Namco should get Yoshi to make their trailers.

SC4 is a good game.. the shame is that it's impossible to find people to play it with locally. No offense, real life friends, but you suck at fighters.

Not sure how you would even know that, but ok...

That wasn't at all directed at you. I don't get the impression that you're much of a fighter fan, but I wouldn't even hazard a guess at that. I was just disagreeing that SC4 isn't compelling. Hell--my main concern here is that they're trying to open this up to a new audience. They've already promised flashier (and easier) combos.. and I fear we'll lose stuff like just frames. But I'm probably overreacting. I hope.

You just suck at reading comprehension.

..and that was just a joke.

Capcom vs snk 2. Marvel vs capcom 2. The original and second soul calibur, dead or alive 1 and 2. The new MK. Virtua fighter 4. Tekken 1-4. Not a die hard fighter fan true, but i like what i like. Better at some then others. But sc 3/4 where just medicrity imo. This aint looking much better.

I think 3 was pretty bad but 4 was a huge improvement. If you ignore the extra mode there's a damn fine Soul Calibur game in there. And I love Cassandra (who appears absent from this game), and she's so vastly improved in SC4 that it makes playing previous iterations of the franchise a little dull for me. Her new just frames alone make SC4 a big leap forward.. and she's hardly the only character to get that kind of attention. The only thing that wasn't a huge improvement over SC3 was the armor break bullshit.. but it didn't really have much of an impact.

And to Namco... your attempt to draw people into this franchise that don't actually like it isn't working... so can you just make the game for your fans again? Please?

I hope they've got Star Wars characters again and that this time there are lightsabers in the character creation mode because I made extra Star Wars characters in SC4 but had to give them swords (and a staff for Darth Maul) since there were no lightsabers.

Hilde proves that a female can be sexy while still being completely clothed. And she ages really well. Doesn't look a day over 18.

The fact they didnt improve on anything often times removing modes, they rely on adding gimmicky, unfitting characters to draw in the punters (corallainrogue is the first person i've come across that actually liked, and wants more star wars characters...lol) 2 had the extra weapons too. Which ment even though you used the same character, you had 12 weapons for each that had different stats and atributes. Starting off with almost no health, but each hit gave you some back. Longer range weapons that where weaker, weapons that drained your energy with each hit. It made it far more replayable. SC3 and 4 didnt have this. At least not as well incorporated.

Mainly tho it's that they dont change, and certainly not for the better. 2 felt Different, and better then 1, had more modes etc.. But 3 was just 2, and and 4 was just 3. And looking at this, 5 is looking an awful lot like 4. The game needs a reboot.

Wait.. your big complaint about 3 and 4 are the lack of special weapons (which they have, and more in the form of armor that also affects your attributes). People actually play with that garbage?

The game doesn't need a reboot. You need to play something else.

Wasn't everyone supposed to have aged? This is garbage. SC4.5

GriftGFX I wasn't really setting up any specific comparison at all. I said modern phones and many PCs. That's pretty vague. You can set whatever limits on that you want. (2 Hours ago)
  • GriftGFX
GriftGFX Granted.. synthetic benchmarks are just that.. but in Geekbench 4 a Snapdragon 835 can outperform a Q9550.. which is definitely faster than the E6600. (2 Hours ago)

GriftGFX My personal history of personal computing goes back to 8-bit computers. I think 2017 ARM CPUs are amazing. (2 Hours ago)
  • GriftGFX
GriftGFX @droezelke: I said E6600.. and its single core performance in synthetic benchmarks is certainly comparable. But yes. You can go back to the 80s. I didn't say anything about them being modern. (2 Hours ago)
  • droezelke
droezelke @GriftGFX: no, a snapdragon 835 does not have computing power of a Q6600 (9 years old). Do you really want to go further in time to prove your statement made sense? (2 Hours ago)
