GSY Video PC

After so many AAA games, here's a bit of indie coverage on Gamersyde with a video of Tales of the Neon Sea. We were able to record the gameplay presentation of the game in Cologne, so without further ado, here it is.

I still play old, pixelized games but modern "pixulz" for the sake of it i don't like.
Our games back then didn't look like that since it was near 1:1 on CRT but youngsters only know emulation on LCD...

It will never look "retro" to me.

Scanlines on the other hand...

Games would only look pixelized when there was a zoom effect or played on a PC monitor. Pixel stuff is a "thing" or better said WAS, since 90's 3D games are making a comeback, the most recent is Forsaken.

Pixelization in 3d games was an issue and oh boy were we glad when hardware accelerated and filtered rendering were introduced. The blurrines of the N64 felt sooo good.

Of course the art direction has to come with it and i still play Doom and Quake on "software mode" since high res and texture filtering destroys the presentation and contrast of the textures.(it looks too smooth and washed out...)
