wow! PS3 or not, that is jaggy. I did a quick comparison to the other pics on the site and those are far more jaggy than any of the old preview pics.

maybe bad capture?

I hope they port Dead Rising to the PS3 also, complete with Home trophies. I'll take the jaggiest port over having to worry about my console dying on me because I played the game too much.

The 360's two most significant games, Gears and Halo 3 are both jaggy as fuck. Rocks, glass houses and all that.

I think a Dead Rising port is far more unlikely though because that was obviously a western-centric game for a very western audience. It ended up selling well all over, sure, but I hardly think it's aimed at the audience Capcom feel confident they'll reach by putting things on the PS3. Lost Planet though, I never thought for a second that'd stay on the 360.

this game is god awfull. way too easy, way too short, way too basic. and what was with the aiming system. i like my controls to be immediate, not wait a few moments for my curser to get across the central invisible box before i turn around. great that its on the ps3, another game for the library, but damn i hated it.

Probably not, but my 360 died once when I was playing Dead Rising, and I've been scared to play it since!

Don't go making a fool out of yourself with fanboy statements... :/
As for the screens, it seems like Capcom must be having problems porting the engine over to PS3, after all it was designed for 360. Doesn't bode well for DMC4, which also uses the same engine.
As for Dead Rising, I wouldn't rule out a port but at the same time there's a case against it. Its a very western aimed game unlike Lost Planet, which has the Japanese appeal. With 360 basically owning the west there wouldn't be much point in releasing a PS3 version unless they want to build up hype for a sequel.

I am somewhat with Synce on the "rather have this version tan being afraid of console dying on me"

I got one, so this is my second...however I have played the shit out of it, and I haven't gotten any problems with it so far *knocks on the wood*

Besides, this is for PS3 owners, so those who say I played it wont get it again, well obviously, nobody would pay a game twice right, thats why this is Lost Planet PS3, for the PS3 owners that didn't get it.

Besides, I think they are editing the engine a bit, but so far its either the same or a bit jagged over.
Its actually like RE4 really.

When it was on GC then went to PS2 with some new content and feature then to PC and then the Wii, which is the ultimate version.

So this one has all the extra features and content from both the PC and the 360, into one.
Very good pack if you ask me for those LP fans out on the PS3 side.

Capcom isn't having problem, they are appearently editing it for PS3 version.

Look at DMC4 and tell me they have a problem with PS3.

dmc 4 isnt pushing either systems IMO. The game has total pre backed lighting, zero dynamic shadowing. It just runs at 60 FPS and that's it.

Lost Planet on the other hand is one of the best looking games out on the market today. Hell I have said a million times before and I will say it again Lost Planet >> MGS4 (graphically)

Character wise, MGS4 is looking better than LP, if not the same.
Environment/FX wise, LP has the advantage..

The motion blur and the smoke and explosions are the best I have seen in a console game, which is alot.

Hmm def dropped the AA and some texture resolutions seem lower. Also the depth blur in the realtime cutscenes seems wonky, half-rez instead of just blur.
