Hinorobu Sakaguchi was at the GDC yesterday to present some of his works, and of course had a preview of the localized version of Blue Dragon to show during his presentation. This version is now planned for an August release in the US, with no firm date for us europeans so far. And the good news is that we will get a choice between japanese and english voices! Update: Some site report a September release for Europe, but as far as I can tell there is nothing official. Also it seems that the european version will not have the japanese voices because of the different localizations for the numerous countries. Joy.
That doesn't make sense. Wouldn't a bottom dweller have all the time in the world to watch movies? Don't you? (9 minutes ago)
as confirmed from a native of one of the two supposed languages, if it weren't for one being referenced and put aside. but i guess a bottom dweller wouldn't have the time to see foreign movies. (11 minutes ago)
@Sdarts: I'm not sure that "better than Geralt's VA" is much of an achievement, lol. (12 minutes ago)
As confirmed by a verified weebo. (29 minutes ago)
as stupid as the language "white washing" is in Silence, the Japanese take is very much authentic. (43 minutes ago)
I just really recommend the books, because they're really bloody great. Also, I recommend people listen to the audiobboks, the voice actor is really great. Some even say he's better than Geralt's VA. (2 Hours ago)
also angry that he missed out on so much money. And of course, the lack of ownership and direction of the characters' and story's path. Which I'm sure no author likes loosing control over something. (2 Hours ago)
