The reviews are out. HUGE, HUGE game just as everyone was expecting after the excellent beta. Not going to watch any videos. Five more days! :D

I've finished the game (I'm reviewing games) and there're some parts of the game that's just stunning. Best console graphics I've seen alongside Uncharted 2. :)

- Horde 2.0 with huge improvements - bosses, tower defence elements etc...again with up to 5 players
- 100 times better multiplayer than previous games, this time with dedicated servers.

Why is there still this " I don't pay for Gold"-attitude?
You get the best online experience/service out there for just a few bucks.
If I buy 12months on ebay (Germany), it's just 3Euros per month.
Most of the people I know that moan about Gold are the ones who spend 50-100Euros every weekend at the club...
Gears 3 and the party service alone warrants it but there is so much more fun to be had with Halo,Forza etc.

Sure, it's up to you what you're willing to pay for and what not but you're missing a lot if you'Re only playing SP...

People still believe, and rightfully so, online play should be free.

Why should people pay to play, I mean its not an MMO.
PC is free, PS3 is free, and yet, they work just fine...with PS3 lacking a bit behind and PC still has the best online experience/service out there.

I personally would never pay to play for online, ever.
I rather save those money and get a new game instead than paying for online to keep playing the same game, or just get DLC instead or just do something non-gaming with them.

Those who like it, go for it, but many dont.

So yes, the "attitude" will always be there no matter what.

visually this all looks TONS better then the MP stuff. looking forward to playing it in co-op. hope i can rent it close to release. would be pretty shite if i had to wait.

I did gripe at first about having to pay but I now see it in the same boat as DLC, why should we get it free? Because other people offer it free? That's a pretty weak argument. Try seeing it from their point of view, they are providing a service, is it so wrong to ask for money to keep that service running?

Its the same thing with DLC, if they give it away free then great! But if they ask for money for it to pay their staff and make a return on their investment I can't begrudge them that. It just becomes an exercise in whether or not I feel something is priced to a value that I agree with.

Might pick this up now as soon as it hits, wasn't going to at first but it looks like I may be needing this to get me through until Rage hits in October.

Sure I get your point but xbox live is a super, well-functioning service with so many features that I have no problem spending 3euro a month.
In my opinion psn isn't even close but mabe that's just me. On PC(some years ago), you had to pay if you wanted to team chat during games...
Sure, now it's 2011 and the online experience could/should be free but as long as MS cares that good for it's service I'm willing to spend one beer a month.

it isnt that other people offer it for free....it's that EVERYONE offers it for free. MS's methods arnt the norm...but for some weird reason people have accepted them as such. boggles the mind. but then they're stuck between paying or not having access to half of the game they just bought...they dont exactly have a choice in the matter. it's kinda like the ISP in my area, they run a monopoly, and there is NO competition. they charge a lot and they are generally pretty shit speed wise. but it's either pay them or have no internet access. it's a shitty situation, but what choice do i have?
