Developer Diary Xbox 360

Gears of War 3 is without a doubt the most anticipated exclusive title to come on Xbox 360 this year and I'm sure even PS3 owners will agree to say is indeed justified. So when Epic and Microsoft decide to release a new developer diary and show a bit more gameplay, one has every reason to be content.

Can't say I'm majorly excited for this at the mo. It looks good, it truly does, but there are other games this year which I'm more excited about to be honest.

I do wanna see how the trilogy ends though, so I'll definitely be buying it. Perhaps I'll be more excited when it gets nearer to its release, but I think I might be getting a bit tired of the Gears formula now.

The formula is still young. This is only the third game. It sounds like it will have a lot more to it this time around as well.

The fact they have dedicated servers is all I need to convince me to get this. Gears 1 and 2 were both so much fun. I would have kept playing Gears 2 if not for the server advantage nonsense. It was so much fun otherwise.
I have no doubt that Epic will make this the best one yet. It is Epic after all.

Also the way in which they are working on balance I think is fantastic.

most antispated exclusive ...because it's the only confirmed exclusive for this year it seems.

I really hope MS has some surprises up its sleeve for E3

Never did like Gears multiplayer.. too much run, roll, shotgun. Offer me an awesome co-op, and another great horde mode, and i'll be happy though.

I'll remain sceptic until I can play the beta. "Most polished Gears" doesn't mean much when the second was a disaster.

Two things have to be done right to make this a proper Gears: Close combat and the maps. Balancing everything else outside of that seems easy since there isn't that much of variety and considering the slow pace.

Gears 2, fun? I remember that having one of the most "epic fail" multiplayer launches, that went on to not being fixed for like months. Absolutely huge backlash.

I hope they make a fun multiplayer section. I have heard mixed receptions from Gears of War 1 and 2s multiplayer.

This should be fun. I really want to play the single player though and see what happens. Can you imagine if their multi-player is not up to snuff when it comes out of the door even with all this extra time they have spent polishing it.

I liked the MP in Gears 1 and I hated it in Gears 2, I really hope they return to the more personal feeling of the first, also dedicated servers will be a huge plus.

As a PS3 owner I am not excited for this game at all I already have too many games to buy, that said my X360 owner friends will most likely buy this game but who knows they have always told me how they bought the hype then found Gears 1 to have broken MP, then Gears 2 also having issues elsewhere, its good that people are excited but come on with Call of Dooky new coming later this year Gears don't have a chance.

Gears 2, fun?

Horde mode or whatever it was called was an absolute blast. But yeah, as far as the competitive MP goes, I never really got into Gears that much. To be fair though, I wasn't as good at it as I tend to be in other shooters online, so that might have soured me on it.
