a few days ago i've seen this as downloadable gamevideo at 360 marketplace ... when i wanted to download it , it wouldn't start . 2 hours later they took it back out of marketplace . Guess it was this trailer then ??? Looks fine but don't know what to think about it .
This fall it will be hard to choose from the list of good games coming up . 360 speaiking that is : )

its like the "conan" game of 2008. a sub par hack 'n' slash, only it has some mountable creatures...cant say im excited for it. and whats with the lack of co-op. one of the most stand out features of the old golden axe games and they make the new one single player only...awesome.

I think I'll stick with Castle Crashers :)

And i think i'll stick with Golden axe on MAME.

Hm... I'm a fan of the old GA-titles, but this has nothing that reminds me of those old ones. But I'll give it a try, if a demo comes... if not, I'll wait for the first reviews, and then make a decisioun if it's worth it. Seems to make fun to play with those beasts, but it doesn't seem to offer much alternation ^^ 100% Hack 'n slay?... hm... And where are the Berserker and the Dwarf??

You say that but Conan is actually a pretty damn good game when you get past the horrific texture work and lighting.

Reminds me of Battle of Asgard game. A mediocre hack and slash at best. Will pass. what a shame, this could have been so much more.

Yeah same with me. I looooved the original Golden Axe, stunning hack n slash of the old times, but this trailer brings nothing from the original feeleing. Id love to see giant white dragon to smash your enemies with fire breath... with todays engines that would look awesome!

How bad is it that Golden Axe on the Megadrive has better graphics than this? Okay, slight exaggeration.

Conan was NOT a good game, even if you did look past shitty graphics. The story was crap (nowhere near Howard), combat was alright in the first half and then turned terrible and cheap for the second half and well...that's about all there is to the game.

About this though? I don't even see why they call it golden axe, more than to appeal to old time gamers who liked the original games. It looks pretty cheesy judging form this trailer.

Looks decent. I'll pretty much try anything on the 360 that's not a shooting, racing or sports game these days.

I agree, I really enjoyed the demo anyway, I played it over and over and over.

eh, I think the graphics are pretty damn good...also, its pretty difficult to make an update of a game that had such ridiculously simple gameplay...I always though Goldenaxe was fun for a laugh...

I'm simple-minded enough to have enjoyed the romp that was Conan and this look worthy of a rental to me.
