Too bad it's a bit of a boring game
And if the answer to that is the most predictable "they wouldn't", then the obvious follow up question is of course.. who the heck would? :O
pretty impressive tech for a handheld game.
welcome to the world of sim racers...if it wasnt for the fact the likes of GT5 push realism in graphics, i really wouldnt even look at the game.
It may be shallow but it's the stone cold truth, sim racers just don't have enough depth within gameplay for that to be their selling point, matters are further exasperated by the fact that most GT gamers don't play with a steering wheel.
This is no doubt a technical feat and everything.. but I'd just like to know who's actually gonna play this. I mean, GT fans are of the buying a steering wheel and pedals variety, so why would they - in circa a bowserillion years - wanna play a PSP racing sim?

Err what? Sim racers sell more than any other racing kind because of thier depth in gameplay.

For this to actually be a more enjoyable portable title than say, Ridge Racers 2, would be shocking.
@omniscient: How could racing cars ever be tedious? I'm going to have to side with the sims > everything in terms of actual depth of gameplay.
Not xbox fans of course :)

Wut?
I just don't see how GT is an experience suitable to the quick bursts of gameplay situation a handheld ends up in more often than not. Surely, the investment needed to fully enjoy a game like this is rather (and better) spent with a proper console release. I just don't buy that this even equals "GT on the go" because with digital buttons replacing analogue acceleration and that little nub for steering, how is that any sort of replication of the full experience? Ridge Racers 2 is an excellent example of a title that works better because not only is it super arcadey with "career" progression suitable for short sessions of gameplay, but it's also barely an analogue racer even when you do play it on the PS3/360.
I just.. it kinda just strikes me as "we said we'd do it so here it is!" situation where people go ooOOoh about the tech aspects and.. don't actually play it. It'll be interesting to see how popular it is once it comes out.
There are too many unrealistic racing games, and their gameplay is far more boring and rubbish... Infact to me the only good racing games worth FULL price, are Burnout, Forza, GT. That's without becoming completely unreal like F-zero.
