GRID: Le Mans

Codemasters released this video of GRID, this time with two actual pilots promising us a very realistic Le Mans racing track.

You actually expect Forza 3 to come out that soon?? It'll be atleast one more year, probably two, before Forza 3 sees the light of day.

They can make the tracks as realistic as they want in Grid, but if the cars don't handle right, then what's the point? 1UP just had an honest preview about it saying the cars still don't handle good or react well to the road. Too bad...

No one on 1Up is a hardcore sim racer, Garnet or John are just Posers. I wouldn't be surprised if they meant it was not arcady enough when they said "the cars don't handle right". I'll judge it when it comes out, I just know Dirt is one awesome ARCADE racer and that the people who made that are making GRID.

PGR is an example of a great ARCADE racer with smooth handling and control. No denying Dirt was a quality game, but the steering was just too sensitive to make the racing and powersliding fun. If Grid is like that than I'll pass, but I'll reserve final judgement until it comes out.

I've read a lot of positive feedback after the Play.com Live event, where it was playable.

About the game

GriftGFX @b0vril: When's the last time Call of Duty broke any new ground? They copied the exosuit movement from TitanFall, mercs/heroes from every new shooter, etc. (10 minutes ago)
  • GriftGFX
GriftGFX "almost exactly" lol (11 minutes ago)
  • GriftGFX
GriftGFX I believe they began pre-production on their next game immediately after Advanced Warfare went gold. That doesn't necessarily mean they landed on World War 2 immediately. (12 minutes ago)
  • GriftGFX
GriftGFX @b0vril: Really? Three years? It will have been almost exactly 3 years from Sledgehammer's last game come November. It's only been two and a half years since their last COD came out :P (13 minutes ago)
  • b0vril
b0vril @Tinks: What would it look like if it wasn't blatant? (16 minutes ago)
  • Tinks
Tinks followed for sure. It's really hard to ignore how blatant it is (20 minutes ago)
  • b0vril
b0vril @GriftGFX: Did they follow though? I mean appareantly it's been in development for 3 years. (30 minutes ago)
