Rockstar Games has shared the first PC screens (4K) of Grand Theft Auto V as well as system specs and the game's new release date: March 24.


Minimum specifications:

this financial year will end on march and rockstar dont have anything this year except gta v pc, so I think thats the reason for delay

So these shots are from the PC-version? I mean, the game looked great for a 360/PS3 title but these shots are rather unimpressive. Ever heard of AA, rockstar? :P

It is 4K, you don't AA on that high DPI.

Actually, it does. You either downsample and it looks better than any AA or, if you have 4k monitor, the pixel density is so high you won't notice the jaggies. Unless you'll play on 72 inch 4k TV or something.

Laughable comments here. The game is a direct port of the PS4/X1 versions to PC, with the obvious benefits of having better AA, resolution, AO and performance. So tell me, how is it that some of you who literally blew a load of the console versions are unimpressed with the same game with added IQ? What did you want R* to do? Create a brand new engine and build brand new assets just to please the PC crowd? Yeah. Unlikely.

To be fair those wheel tire patterns on the third screenshot do look cartooney and painted on, I don't remember this in PS3 version (there was blur, soap and low res textures instead).

AO is pretty bog standard in any game these days, especially considering that you can force it with drivers or cfg.hacks. The method and quality of it varies.

The game looks good enough to me, but some textures are not PC users taste i am afraid. I hope they will launch a new texture pack or something in the future.

Anyway, mods will be great on this thing. :)

Looks good to me, remember the GTA4 Mods? That's where this game will truly shine visually. Like the comments above, what will really matter is how the game is optimized, because GTA4 ran like shit on pc. Doesn't matter how well those textures and models look if your game is chugging and unstable...

Some people just don't like anything...

I think it looks pretty damn good for such a big, open world game. And I don't even like open world games or GTA for that matter.
