Guitar Hero V takes the plunge

Guitar Hero V takes the plunge

Guitar Hero V has just been released in North America but will only be available in Europe on September 11. Here is quite an original and extreme trailer to celebrate the launch of the game. Don't try this at home.

I...i just hate guitar hero so much right now. The image they are trying to make and everything about it. Whacking on a plastic guitar in front of your tv is not rock, or especially cool. Fun? Maybe, but that's beside the point at this stage :P

Beside the point? I think you're missing the entire point of games in general. Talk about having your priorities mixed up. If everything you do needs to be "rock" and "cool" then I'm sorry, but your elitism is turning you into an ass.

It doesn't need to be but that's how they present it. This whole "trailer" just screams "look at how extremely awesome GH5 is!! Zomg cool overlad!!"

About the game

What's up?

Megido @GriftGFX: Id on't know. I didn't finish GTA5 but i felt like a LOT of the missions were complete throwaway garbage. The main story was mostly decent, but the rest? (7 minutes ago)

GriftGFX And right now there's a bit of a backlash against sandbox games in general. (21 minutes ago)
  • GriftGFX
GriftGFX There are plenty of examples of poor open world games, but there's also stuff like GTA5. I think it's a bit more nuanced than open world = bad is all. (23 minutes ago)
  • Megido
Megido @GriftGFX: I think you nailed it there though. "The best bits". Most open world sandbox games are filled with mediocrity and some good bits. (30 minutes ago)
  • GriftGFX
GriftGFX Yes.. that "build a world" part is where they design it. (1 Hour ago)
  • KORNdog
KORNdog @GriftGFX: except not many are. they build a world, and stick quests in it. that's why open world RPG's quests are typically so shallow. (1 Hour ago)
  • GriftGFX
GriftGFX There's no reason an open world can't be curated and designed. The best bits of every good sandbox are. (1 Hour ago)
