Looks like a western, with GUNs and the such. Also looks like it'll be fun. Just wish it wasn't a port, I could imagine this game with true 360 visuals. Add some good lighting and shadowing, better texturing and body models. Hell maybe it'll sell enough to warrent a sequal that takes advantage of the Hardware.

Well I guess if the price is about the same as the PS2 and Xbox versions, this will technically be the best version of the game.

However, when the 360 version of a game is uglier than the average 360 game (because it's ported from PS2) it should be considered a crime anyway.

This is arguably how the current gen versions of the game shoud look.

It could be a great game, but this is just a cynical attempt at extracting $10 extra from consumers. If it's a Western themed version of Total Overdose I'll pick it up cheaper on XBox.Everywhere but the ports.

Heh, funny with the attitude around here. It seems the graphics are only thing xboxyders see in games :) Usually it takes time to brushup the game, and graphics are polished in late-development phase. And we have few months still launch, and many of these games are not out this year. We will get there, I bet we will see real nextgen, next year.

It's hard judging gameplay by watching screenshots (sounds stupid and cocky, but I guess that's the way it is).
About the other thing, PGR3 to me is really next-gen. NBA 2K6 too, absolutely Perfect Dark Zero.

you guys should check out the new "cold war" splintercell style demo just released at filefront.com, it sports some of the most amazing character models i have ever seen. with bloom, bump mapping, HRD, the works. very clean engine too. ran solid 60 at 1600X1200.

it is on a game called doom3 for pc, FEAR for pc, farcry for pc, and starship troopers, among others. :)

some of these 360 games really do look next gen, but high end PCs have had graphics as good if not better already.

That demo was possibly the worst demo I've ever played, and I couldn't find any next-gen in those graphics.

Ack...Activision is releasing a lot of *crap* for the launch window huh? I've got a fairly measurable amount of respect for Neversoft too..but this is just..dissapointing.

Seriously--if you're going to port an Xbox game and basically do nothing to make it look like it's not just that...why bother? EA's half-assed efforts look 20x better than this.

EDIT: Oh and it's a DAMN shame too--Westerns are great subject material--Red Dead was a good game, but I'm in no way against other devs. trying to tackle this genre..it's friggin classic.

This is supposed to be...what? It looks decent I suppose, but take a look back on the libraries of this gens consoles and I'm sure you'll find plenty to compete for that title--even in the multiplatform arena. But regardless, it's going up against basically nothing, since practically no one makes westerns in this day and age--seriously, aside from Red Dead Revolver the last thing in the genre to really stand out in my mind is Sunset Riders (the konami classic) ;)

I'll rent this sucker, there's basically no chance that someone will convince me to buy any new Xbox games right now..not with the 360 so close--I think the last Xbox 1 game I'll pick up will probably be Ninja Gaiden Black..I almost regret buying Burnout Revenge--knowing a next gen burnout can't be too far away.

one of the best game ever on "GAMECUBE" if there is going to be a version on GC but like an xbox 360 look like #$#% if anybody going to buy they get it on the xbox vercion is 10 $ less and is going to be almost the same

I dont agree with you. FEAR or Doom 3 are looking Great, but they are not Next Gen, in no way. Doom 3 was even ported to Xbox 1...just like Half Life 2 or Far Cry. Games that are portable for Xbox in one way or the other simply cant be true Next Gen Games.
UT 2007 or Gears of War, these are true NEXT GEN Games, because you could never do that on Xbox and neither on regular PCs (at this Time)
