How much for the maps this time?

800, same as before, only this time, the maps are actually decent.

I would of appreciated these maps before now - Halo has lost a lot of peoples interests already, with Call Of Duty being the best shooter on consoles now.

the art style is a serious flaw and limitation to me. i mean, screen 3 just looks like most of the maps in halo 3 already.

I'm waiting for the first map pack to become free, this map looks cool though. I liked the Halo 1 (PC) version of this map online.

Still I don't play enough Halo 3 online so I don't think I'll buy this pack either.

Reminds me of Sindwinder

Ha! It is repetitive, pushes no boundaries and generally offers more of the same. Yep best console shooter there.

Before you start, I played it for 2 months but have played far better shooters on consoles.

Halo 3's numbers haven't really dropped at all. I love the last map pack it was really cool, all of the maps were very well designed and every area was always an amazing encounter, from whatever angle you came from. Of course I play for fun, unlike a lot of others that play the game repetitively and such. The biggest and only thing I've ever disliked about the game is the people that play it, they force the game to be more of an arcade rush for power weapons and areas rather then an even match of skill vs skill etc. Almost everyone me and my friend (we only play doubles most the time.. BRING BACK UNRANKED DOUBLES!!!!) we always notice the same thing from our opponents. They rush to the power weapons and get some easy kills but most times where we actually corner one and face off, even if they get the advantage of higher ground or the first shot off we almost always win over them. It's ridiculously and it makes me sad that I love a game so much and that people have boiled it's fun down into respawn times and stuff.

I wasnt too impressed with the last map pack to be honest. This one however is looking promising.

I stick to COD4 for gaming after playng a lot of Halo 3 simply because it just looks much better, handles better, and is much more frantic than Halo 3. I like the art style, but they dropped the bomb when nothing on screen looked like it's video counterparts.

Didn't buy the last mappack, way too overpriced and the maps seemed not very exciting.

Now this could be diffrent. Sidewinder was the only map of that size that was fun to me(all Halos combined). The other map they showed was also pretty good looking. Now I'm waiting for them to unveil the last map, which is supposed to be arena style, small and pretty much a "no-brainer" for the competitive crowd of Halo who prefer this.

Well for me all those dumb ass trash talking Americans and the uber crappy artstyle ruined Halo for me. Those aliens could as well have been made by Fisherprice. Plain ridiculous!
Otherwise the MP is really fine, no doubt. If they would only allow people to open up public games so that forge would at least make some sense..

Yeah right, If you like no skill extreme auto aim camping, then yeah, COD4 definately has Halo 3 beat.

I'm going to buy this. I still play Halo and I think it's very fun. It plays differently from CoD4 even though they're both shooters. Bottomline is they're both great games so I don't see any reason to bash any of them.

if your using auto-aim as your argument against cod4 while defending halo 3 of all games, all i can do is laugh in your face. HAHAHAHA!

I have to disagree there. COD4 is completely unplayable on the PC due to it's auto aim. You can literly spin around on the spot shooting, watching the headshots rack up.

IMO Saying COD4 is better than Halo 3 is laughable.....LOL. They are completely different games but COD4 can't touch Halo 3 in the fun department. No other game will ever have the feeling you get when you have 15/20 kill streak going. COD4 is all hiding and camping.... You get shot with one gun burst and your dead. Halo takes actual "Battling Skills" to be good at instead of hiding with a sniper laying down in a house somewhere....LOL. Don't get me wrong....COD4 is a great game... It just takes no skill to be good at. If you can tolerate sitting in one spot hiding for a long time then you will be good at COD4. People that love COD4 are the type of people who like to take advantage of the games flaws like...Spawn killing/Hiding in a house with C4 in every doorway/Climbing to weird places ect. Those type of people aren't good at the game....There good at exploiting it's flaws. Halo 3 has virtually NO flaws that people can take advantage of because there is an actual damage system instead of "one pull dead"

Why must every single Halo thread and topic turn into a bashing festival by COD fans?

Too busy playing COD4 (though not atm as I'm RROD'd). Loved Halo3 MP for sure, didn't think it could possibly be topped by any MP shooter in terms of fun, but COD4 has done it.

To say that Halo 3 hasn't lost a lot of momentum due to COD4 is very naive or just plain ignorant. COD4 really is giving Halo3 a fun for it's money and that can only be a good thing.

Looking at the screens I don't feel like I'm missing out on all that much anyway, but perhaps playing the actual maps would help. I'd love to see more maps like Guardian, it's just so much fun using nades in that map.

Only people stupid enough to think Call of Duty 4 is anything like Halo 3 in any way other then their both first person shooters... Their too different to be compared. Their both awesome, and equal imo. Though I enjoy Halo 3 MP a bit more.

Can't wait to play it, Sidewinder was awesome, and this is gunna be even better =) Looks awesome, Bungie did great on the snow this time around =)
