Gears of war has changed my interest in shooting games altogether..

I'm not as hyped or interested in halo 3 as i used to be ..i'm more looking forward to gears of war 2!

But yeah; I too am almost more hyped for Gears 2 than Halo 3....ALMOST. Halo 1 has taken a seat to Gears in my book (and we all know Halo 2 SUUUCKED).

Clifford Blitzinkies pretty much confirmed that they were already working on Gears 2, and that it was going to be AWESOME, in the latest 1UP Show (a MUST-SEE episode).

In UK it comes with every copy of the crackdown game..

Straight from the game.co.uk website..

"..Requires Xbox Live Gold Subscription and Hard Drive. Beta comes on all Crackdown discs."

But the batch of discs that the invite comes on is "significant", but how significant is the question. It could last weeks or be sold out in one.

I hope Bungie's not rushing it...I'd rather have the game later & have it really fun & perfected than have it early

I'd like to know how long the beta will last and if it will cost additional green. I ordered Crackdown and it says an "invite" to the beta....I bet we get screwed big time with charges. Hopefully it won't be too bad......

I have finally caved in and bought Crackdown. The demo was alright, but I didn't really wanna buy it for the Halo 3 beta. But I ended up saying screw it and bought it. There wasn't any games coming out any time soon that I wanted, except for Two Worlds (which my brother is buying on release day). The only other games I want is Stranglehold and Bioshock along with Mass Effect. But I'll have money for those before they come out. I'd say I would want GRAW 2, but GRAW's multiplayer never interested me (since they removed the cover feature). I own GRAW but I have been getting into multiplayer games which allow you to press up against cover like Gears of War and Rainbow Six Vegas.

So I will see the rest of you in the Halo 3 beta once it is released in the spring. Especially since I didn't win the Xboxyde invite :(, you ******* :). I was really trying to win the last two invites but people beat me to the answer, YOU GUYS FORCED ME TO BUY CRACKDOWN!!!! Ha ha, no really. I am not mad about it. I think Crackdown will be alright, I just don't get into those sandbox games all the much besides games like Oblivion which have a fantasy setting.

Sorry for my ranting. I really hope Halo 3 beta includes some awesome features, like all the Custom Games options. At least three or four maps, and hopefully three or four gametypes. My buddy has been anticipating Halo 3 since it was first announced (he is waiting until Halo 3 comes out before buying a 360), so he is literally going to crap his pants when he knows he can play it at my house months before it releases.

An official Bungie statement recently said that the Beta will NOT include all gametypes or maps, but just enough to give Bungie the networking info they need to perfect the code by launch. So prolly two or three modes, and a few maps I guess. Halo 3 is going to be the greatest game ever made!!!!

Umm, in the Crackdown game case. If you have it, look at it. The card says everything, including it being Free of Charge. Plus it has always been known to be free.

It says exactly:

"When the Halo 3 beta is released, Download Halo 3 Beta option will be activated automatically, and you can choose to connect to Xbox Live Marketplace to download the beta, free of charge, and with no codes required."

That is the exact quote, word for word from inside the Crackdown case.
