Personally for me it spoils the illusion if you see the actual people that voice these characters. Especially Chief who to me is just a little bit awesome. I don't want to chance seeing that these guys are in fact jerks so I choose not to watch them

I'm really not going to argue with anyone over what I'm going to say next, but that footage from the Youtube video is almost up there with that new Metal Gear demo. If that's all cut-scenes taken from in-engine, then it's massively impressive, and it also leaves me scratching my head begging the question of just what the flying fuck Bungie were doing all this time with 360's hardware, because even though it was their very own IP, they still didn't manage to get it anywhere near looking as good as this does. It almost looks a generation beyond what they achieved. Such a serious lack of talent on their behalf. Finally a Halo game that looks the part.

I'm more interested in the creative process than in the actual game... :D

Still, It looks good, and I really like how they try to flesh out the characters more.

Same. This seems more like a big budget film production than a game. I also noticed they're using Maya. Although going by all of this, I wasn't really that interested in it before. I am now. This really could be amazing.

Yeah 343 are really using some voodoo :)

But Reach looked good also, but yeah this is up there with the best graphics I've seen to date, looks like we finally get a Halo with amazing cinematic story telling.

All that really matters to me is that there is a consistent quality throughout the campaign and that it retains something closer to the first game's magnificence. This is looking super lovely though and I'm not about to complain at that

Real life? Now come on now! It's a lot more interesting than that.

Seriously though, Halo needs to be made into a live action film. The masterchief design there would looks amazing. Now if they could find an actor that is 8 feet tall, that's the main problem.

Oh shut up, it looks amazing and certainly up there with almost anything currently out at the moment, if not better. If you can't be impressed by that, then you don't know what you're looking at. Look at Halo 3/Reach and compare the two. It's night and day, and Reach was half decent looking. If this came out on PC like the Fox Engine will be with nice DX 11 effects slapped on, the it would certainly look every bit as good as anything currently in development. Halo Fan boy's heads would explode.

Reach was half decent looking, as in, nothing special. They boasted about an engine overhawl and it was still sub HD and still pretty shitty looking. They where a country mile away from what these guys have achieved. But there are still remnants of the old halo's in there imo, some cases where they actually looks better (someone did a jungle comparrison in the main halo thread and halo 3 actually looked better). When it is at it's best it is up there with the best. It's certainly the best looking halo title so far. But considering the crappy job bungie did overall, it's not a difficult feat really. I'm just happy to see an in-house MS developer doing something decent with the hardware for once. It may have taken 6 years, but they've finally got around to it. that in itself deserves celebration.

Def the most impressive graphics I've seen to date! And the MGS game won't be out until 2013/14 and halo 4 looks just as good to me.
