With the beta announced for may, Bungie starts to show us more of Halo Reach through this first ViDoc insisting on the team's desire to come back to Halo CE's spirit. Many will agree that returning to the roots of what made the series' success is clearly the way to go.

Considering all the ideas being presented, if Bungie delivers on even most of them then this should finally be the game to live up to the crazy high standard set by combat evolved.
Can't wait to try out the beta.
Sure, there are still prettier fps games out there..but very few of them match the same scale, and fewer still add to that scale with 4 player co-op throughout.

Damn, I am allready hyped again....beeing hyped so early allways ends up with a disappointment!
I'm very impressed. Bravo for Bungie.
P.D. Maybe it's time for those calling previous screens "Bullshots" to give credit where it's due. This includes news posters.
Have missed the feel of exploration, of being lonely on undiscovered planets, in all Halo games that has been released after Halo 1 (even if Halo 3 had some very nice environments..) I can't understand how so many Halo fans actually liked Halo: ODST (seriously - it was a fu*king joke)... it didn't have the core elements that made Halo what it was.
But as they say in this diary, they want to get back to that feeling (like the first steps on the planet in Combat Evolved). So I must say I more excited then I ever thought I would be of a Halo game again..
it might actually make me buy ODST just to get the beta
The new weapons we got to see also looked impressive and balanced.
Campaigns are fun and all, but a truly awesome MP (which Reach will no doubt destroy this category) is what makes an FPS truly fun and long lasting.
Unless said shooter has some amazing co-op options.
Hopefully that Noble Team is not all that there is. I would like to feel more like a hero than part of a team.
