HAWX: Augmented reality

Ubisoft released this rather average quality video of Tom Clancy's HAWX, showing the augmented reality system in action.

Correct me if I'm wrong but isn't that a eurofighter? This game might have some interesting things after all. :|

Oh it has a nice plane selection and they are all well modelled, I am just not sold on the gameplay gimmicks it has.

By the way, yes that is a "Typhoon"...nice ride indeed.

Yes it's an Eurofighter. I really want to take a taste of it. I am looking forward to it since Ace Combat 6 I need more sky action. I also hope this game be compatible with my Ace Edge Stick!!!

Love it. Trailer isn't so great, but the gameplay looks awesome. If some people prefer hardcore simulations, fair enough... but if they actually expected one to come from Tom Clancy, especially in the GRAW/EndWar universe, they deserve to be disappointed.

thank god they showed the cockpit view, that way people can stop whining...

i personally love the outside view and the new gameplay mechanics but thats personal taste.

ONE THING that i think everyone can agree to ...

THIS GAME LOOKS FRIGGING HOT!

Nice graphics.
Why should we stop whining because of the cockpit view if the assistance mode off forces you in „ultra style“ mode anyway? – It was already announced that they will feature a cockpit view so no real surprise and I will stop whining when assistance mode off doesn’t force the player into „ultra style“ mode which none yet where able to confirm afaik.

That cockpit by the way is not really „accurate“... a Eurofighter only uses LCD-Displays:

At least the ones I know.

  • Doom_Bringer
Doom_Bringer oh yea that, Dragon Age was preloading at the time (2 Hours ago)
  • GriftGFX
GriftGFX Maybe.. it's different for pre-loaded stuff too. (2 Hours ago)
  • Doom_Bringer
Doom_Bringer @GriftGFX: well Dragon age extracted is suppose to be arround 20 gigs but the download was only 8 gigs or 15 gigs...procedure might be different for newer games (2 Hours ago)
  • GriftGFX
GriftGFX 45 minutes for this game would have to be like... 3+ megabytes per second. My Comcast can't do that. (3 Hours ago)
  • GriftGFX
GriftGFX My FFOW DL is almost 12.9 gigs and like 95% done. (3 Hours ago)
  • GriftGFX
GriftGFX Steam appears to download extracted and installed, there's no install process once you finish downloading a game. (3 Hours ago)
  • Doom_Bringer
Doom_Bringer D2D file right now is 9.2 GB's. I think it was less when I was downloading it (now its extracted) I am pretty sure Steam works the same way. 12 gb is probably the extracted size :P (3 Hours ago)
