Heavenly Sword launch trailer

Heavenly Sword had officially been released yesterday in the US, and as a way to mark the occasion Sony released this new trailer, and certainly the last one we'll ever see for this nice looking game.

Well it is only a couple of hours long so it wouldn't surprise me! :D

It's short, but good. Read a lot of reviews. It's certainly not a GOW-Killer, but however a great game.
When is it released here in EU?? Can't wait to play!!!

yea it also wouldn't surprise me if Knodi only owns an Xbox360 and not a PS3.

Grabbed it last night -- it's a beautiful game, setting a new standard for visual design and technical execution.
Definitely quality over quantity. I stayed up most of the night and finished it in 7.5 hours. I'm very satisfied, although I would have preferred if it was 10 hours.
Definitely something I will play again.

I'm curious if the framerate and tearing issues in the demo have been fixed. Have they?

Well, 7.5 hours... it's still in the range of acceptable ^^
When there's still fun to play again, where's the problem??!
So, again, when does this appear in EU?? Please... ^^

Here in Sweden I got one shop that says 27th because it was delayed from 14th, while the same shop also excist in UK called GAME.

Another shop, EB Games, says its coming out the 19th.
Other Swedish sties and all says its coming out 14th-19th.

I pre-ordered mine, and I didn't get any calls from GAME about the game is in stores.

It's kind of a funny game in that the framerate does drop at points, but not when you would expect it to. For instance you can have literally thousands of troops advancing toward you and it runs fine. But during a cutscene it can drop a bit.

There's a bit of tearing, maybe not as bad as in the demo, but still a bit.

But overall it's a real visual treat. I compare it to Planet Earth on BluRay (which is 9 hours).

I'm almost done with the second chapter, and I think the game is pretty solid. The graphics surpass anything on Xbox 360 by far, and even PS3. When you see the cinematics in this game, it makes everything else look last-gen in comparison (it's even hard to be impressed with MGS4 now).

As for the gameplay, it's your standard hack and slash fare. No complaints here. I can see myself beating the game in 6-8 hours, which is the perfect length for a game of it's type. I really don't want to sit there mindlessly mashing buttons for 20 hours.

LOL!! I've played the demo and there is no way that the in-game graphics surpass everythig on the 360, no way!! i agree that some of the pre-renderd cutsceans are amazing, but there pre-rendered cutsceans.

I'll pick up this game along with MGS4 and KZ2.

I really can't understand why developers are still using pre-rendered cut-scenese this gen. Surely the in-game engine is more than acceptable graphic's-wise for cut-scenes?

The cutscenes are not pre-rendered, but I can understand why you'd think they are, hence my point that this game looks better than any other before it. And what you saw in the demo is nothing compared to what's in the full game.

If you play the actual game you'll see that synce is right --> the cutscenes are not prerendered.
Certainly the playable Nariko is lower poly than the cutscene version, but it's all realtime. Like I said earlier, it's an artistic and technical triumph.

Again, some cutscenes are realtime, some are prerendered. Prerendered ones have have a tad better lighting and high-res shadows, so you could tell them apart. The game itself looks fantastic though.

Again you can tell the in-game cutsceans from the pre renderd ones with ease.

The game is kind of annoying the frame rate drops and the screen tears, the cut scenes I think are what made this game gain any hype in the graphics department.. Anyways, just like I said when the demo was released, the best thing about it is throwing things, and the developers knew it, so they whore that effect as much as possible. I'm going go finish the game now, I just beat roach the 1st time, and think itachi may be right with his whole displaying the buttons you should push on screen bashing. Especially when it is a lame excuse for platforming.

I do.. you can do a lot more with pre-rendered CG. I loved the beautiful CG in the original Ninja Gaiden and wish that we could receive the same sort of beautiful movies in NG2, for example.. but I sorta doubt we'll get pre-rendered HD content on DVD9 anyway. When these guys have blu-ray at their disposal, I think it's fine, and would even encourage it in some cases. I don't have a problem with in game cut scenes either, in some ways it's better because it's a smoother transition between cinema and gameplay.. but I think there's room for both.
