I wonder if the episodic nature is working for this game, or if it is just slipping more and more under everyone's radar. Or maybe, a new episode means new coverage every month.
So how is this game going? Do anyone have any rough numbers?

How about playing the game for yourself and see. Its not that deep of an issue. Its a video game that has full game episodes/DLC that extends the life of the game and allowing the Devs to further optimize the engine and code. As has always happened and will continue to happen.

This episode has some fucking horrendous framerates on PS4. Crowds are all well and good but they cripple performance. Sapienza was so much more polished.

Actually i was referring more to the economic side, if the episodic schedule is really doing good to the game from a sales point of view.
Personally I never liked Hitman very much, but even if I did, I would wait for the "complete package" once everything has gone out and problems have been solved. Waiting for every extra mission/episode cuts my interest in the long term.
I was just wondering how many other people were doing the same reasoning, and if it would have been better (from a sales point of view) to just polish everything and sell the complete adventure.

I am doing that same. I was so excited (nostalgia) when FF7 remake was shown. Then when it was announced it was going to be episodic I basically just lost all interest. It's just a way to force digital distribution and incrementally fund development to stop resales which I do after I beat a game that I will never play again once completing it.

its a shame that its a one off episode, as in even if you manage to complete it, you cannot replay it again - at least give the that option as a reward for players successfully doing it...

About the game

KORNdog @Sdarts: the only mark life is strange left on me is that of faked choice and how much i wanted to let Chloe die over and over and over again. lol (1 Hour ago)

KORNdog @nostradamus: your PC must be complete shit if you're getting 1-5 fps on oxenfree. haha. (1 Hour ago)
  • nostradamus
nostradamus at least it run like a bige pile of hunking crap. 1-5fps for such a shitty looking 2D game (even if the detailed zoom-in/out 2d arte is cool) vs a 30fps LiS. comparison by my gaming toaster. (5 Hours ago)
  • nostradamus
nostradamus Oxenfree is made w/ Unity, by default its shit. (5 Hours ago)

Sdarts @GriftGFX: Love makes everything possible. :) (8 Hours ago)

Sdarts @asdfg: No update since N:A launched on Steam. What was updated was Kaldaien's mod, which is a Steam user who made a mod/tool to fix resolution, framerate and other issues with the game. (8 Hours ago)
  • Sdarts
Sdarts @KORNdog: Ironically, Oxenfree has far many more rarely used words than Life is Strange. Though the game is very good. Still, Life is Strange is eons better because it leaves a mark you never forget. (8 Hours ago)
