The problem with all this current gen on-rail shooters that doesnt gel with me at all, is that they're no longer point and shoot. They're more like moving a curser over something and then clicking on it. I dunno if they could fake the feeling of a light gun simply by removing the cross-hair, but it feels shit either way.

how about making a TPS with chessy/funny story that involves zombies?? I think that would be better :D

I didn't know that they were still releasing PS2 games

house of the dead is the definition of cheesy, though not TPS.

I don't see a problem with the idea.

edit
Actually, Sega already did it with Zombie Revenge, on the DC.
That was a terrible execution though... they could come back and make a better game with dialog that is just as bad as ZR.

I need to get one of these PS2 machines people keep referencing to, It sounds like a playstation 2 but with vastly improved graphics.

Same could be said for FPS, first time I even thought that was after playing Halo Reach, it's not a bad game far from it, it moves and plays very well especially when you compare it with black ops but theres just something missing.

And now 2011 is the year of modernday warfare Zzzzzz

Exactly!

Seriously, people have a really skewed view of what the older machines looked like. While this doesn't look like MW3/BF3/Crysis2, it most certainly COULD NOT have been done on a PS2 or even X-Box (which was more powerful than a PS2).

Now, OT:

I really want to like this, I loved HotD in the arcades and on my Dreamcast, but yeah... the whole rail-shooter thing is getting long in the tooth, when you've got full-control FPS's like Left for Dead, Dead Island and lord knows what else.

The last great rail-shooter I played was Dead Space Extraction. Great game, great camera work, great atmosphere and great graphics, for the machine (Wii). I don't know if it gets any better than that, though.

About the game

What's up?
  • Moonwalker
Moonwalker Yooka-Laylee MP reveal trailer: [url] (1 Hour ago)
  • GriftGFX
GriftGFX Chinese New Year coming soon to Overwatch.. finally a new D.Va skin :3 [url] (2 Hours ago)
  • Melmoth
Melmoth the game's sold over 70 mil, and it looks like over 25-30 mil are on "current" platforms. if they sold to 10% of those users, they's still sell 3mil at 10-15 usd. (2 Hours ago)
  • GriftGFX
GriftGFX I would buy SP DLC day one. (3 Hours ago)
  • GriftGFX
GriftGFX There were rumors generated by voice actors ages and ages ago. At this point I'm not optimistic. I really enjoyed GTA5. (3 Hours ago)
  • Melmoth
Melmoth i'm puzzled by the lack of story/single player dlc for GTAV. Meaty expansions in the line with Lost&Damned or Gay Tony for GTA4, or the expansions for Witcher3 and Fallout 4. (3 Hours ago)
  • GriftGFX
GriftGFX And I dunno.. just because there's more money in multiplayer does not mean you can't go after the billions of dollars that are there for SP games. (3 Hours ago)
