Our videos of I Am Alive

Our videos of I Am Alive

I was planning on reviewing I Am Alive in both languages in time for the game's release but I just could not make it so I will simply give you my quick opinion about the game. I don't care what IGN said, Ubisoft's Xbox Live Arcade title is a good and entertaining title. It is more than fine technically speaking, especially considering it's a downloadable game, and though it clearly won't win the award for best looking game, it still manages to convey great atmosphere. So yes, some will bitch about the lack of colors, the fog, the blurry backgrounds and some stiff animations but let me tell you it'd be a shame to stop at that. Give the trial version a try when the game gets released and see for yourself. Until then, check out our videos inside.

Thank You fro this quick review and I agree with You in everything. Just like I said before, I know its not the top looking game, but I was sure I will enjoy it. Thanks Gamersyde.

I have just read what Gamespot said about the game and I completely agree with them. :)

You might want to read their review, I'll simply quote the conclusion:

If you let this deliberately paced adventure get under your skin, it draws you into a world that shows how humans react when the rules are stripped away. Some just want to survive while others want to impose their will, and you're left to decide your own path. I Am Alive is a smart and well-crafted adventure that keeps you tense throughout, and it makes you desperate to know the fate of the family you so anxiously want to find.

Journey is also out today, which is getting wall to wall amazing reviews. If you only buy one, I'd suggest Journey.

Ours should be available in English by the end of the week. I loved it but you will get a lot more play time with I Am Alive. You need less than two hours to complete Journey, so people might think it's a bit too expensive. It's really a matter of tastes.

seems like of another unique looking game with damn good atmosphere - LIMBO. You get only 2-3hrs gameplay, but it's worth every penny. :-)

I'll buy both games - Journey and I Am Alive.

Same. Any word on a PSN release date for I Am Alive? Or should I just get it on Xbox?

I really want this but only found out like yesterday that the game isn't yet out for psn. Could play it on xbox but the less digital stuff I buy on there the better, on the occasion I can't get it online it strips me away from most my games and just says I can't play pretty much. Even stuff I've bought on that console.

The game will be released next month on PS3.

As for Journey it should be available today for PSN+ members and next week for the others.

@Seth, I've become a bit unhappier with MS over the past couple of yrs, ruining/killing big name studios and franchises which were once great. I know other companies do it but MS and some of their practices have really disgruntled me. Less money I have to give to them the better really, a shame really I really liked my xbox less than a year ago.

I feel you, pretty much like what happened with Stranger's Wrath HD.

@Blue_Eagle44 - you are right, but even this cannot stop me from buying XBLA stuff.
XBLA is the single thing that M$ still do right.

Surprising that the ones who always do that around here, haven't (yet), at least not in this thread.

I quite liked the trial and will have a go at the full version tonight. Never been really interested in xbl arcade games but since Gotham City Imp., A. Wake and now this, I am starting to like it.
