Finally something new is happening in the small world of the skating games. EA released these first official images of their "Tony Hawk killer", and it doesn't look bad at all. Maybe this will finally be a wake up call for the devs over at Neversoft too.

If anyone has seen the leaked gameplay footage they know this game looks absolutely incredible.

If you thought the animations in Project 8 looked good, then oh my goodness wait until you see SKATE in motion!

you do realise that "leaked" footage isn't ingame? its a video, the guys aren't actually playing it, their bad acting should give that away.

The idea here is to simulate a mix of drugs with horrific stutter and 5fps gameplay, and THEN try to skate.

Saw the footage for this on the net somewhere (YouTube maybe). It looks to be quite an improvement on the TonyHawk games. It very well could be a killer, as you say.

The video wasn't in-game. THe camera angles give it away. It just has the appearance of them playing it

Have you ever seen a real skateboardvideo? Because this is the camera angle in all of the videos. And EA also said, that there will be a new camera angle in "skate".

ANYTHING else than that unrealistic CRAP that TH games are! The only skateboarding game that was realistic (as far as actually skateboarding goes) was Thrasher Skate and Destroy. That's sad considering that game was for the PS1 and was made in 1997!

I already like this game better and I don't even know anything about it. Even though EA is bound to screw it up, they could make this awesome! The look of this game is already ten times better than Project 8. IMO. AND.... it has some actual cool skaters. CHRIS COLE! That right there is reason enough to buy the game.

I hope they don't royally screw this game over.
