Images of Blacksite: Area 51

Images of Blacksite: Area 51

Midway releases 8 images of Blacksite. Some are nice, some are a bit messy. We'll wait a new playable demo (with a real level and some multiplayer) before expressing any opinion.

Looks pretty good, now they just have to fix the framerate.

The demo was good to some extend, needed work, but I don't think I have to tell that to everyone.

Framrate, glitches...etc.

But it was a TEASER demo you know, so I am sure they are gonna fix it up heavily in the future before launch.

I know that they are gonna release another single player demo and one multiplayer.
The multiplayer is gonna be interesting.

But nice images.

Well, I'm a bit dissapointed. Okay, some screens look good, but it's far away from what I expected from the so called NextGen...

Have you played the demo? It looks incredible. Seriously
Commented on 2007-06-19 00:16:24
huh , isnt this game using Unreal Engine 3? , if so , why does it looks like that, eww!!
Commented on 2007-06-19 00:24:06
No, didn't. I just can judge the screens...
But I always say, never judge a game before it isn't released.
But when the game is so incredible, why on earth do the screens loook so... unimpressiv?

Good question. I dont have the answer ;)

i take back the eww i said , the game looks decent in motion on the videos from GTTV , but still doesnt make me say wow considering that is using the Unreal Engine 3.

FPS is a crowded space this holiday.. I don't know how games like this will find an audience.

lol
What Saddam Hussein and Muqtada al-Sadr is doing in pic #1 ? is this game in iraq ?

I didn't find any of those images messy at all. In fact all of them were quite nice.

i think we all known this game would look good and yes it still looks good. but that doesnt exactly make a good game. take for example that demo, if the rest of the game is like that then this could be no different from all the other FPS shooters out there.

What happens to the tree in pic 3? Textures i mean...

1UP's Sony Bettenhausen recently said on a 1UP podcast that you have an "Iraq flashback." ok, wtf, that's not weird....NOT.

Anyway, the gas station level on the demo was friggin sweet... Great action scene. Felt a lot like HL2, believe it or not.

droezelke I don't blame the studios, I blame the publishers. Although Dice messed up big time... (3 minutes ago)

droezelke When I read Straley's reasons to leave Naughty Dog, one of the best devs, it only confirms what people like Jim Sterling are saying. (5 minutes ago)

droezelke I just don't understand that some of us see that AAA gaming is going downhill because of the business models and the lack of taking risks. Some of us will defend publishers till the end (8 minutes ago)

droezelke @KORNdog: Dear me, you just can't let it go. I bought the X1X to be my main platform. So, no, I'm not stopping with gaming. (10 minutes ago)

KORNdog for me the more important games in VR are the ones from indie studio's who are conceptually not playing it safe, they're experimental and unique and are offering experiences we wouldn't get otherwise (1 Hour ago)

KORNdog but for consumers it's one of the most "standard" experiences in VR in the sense its a normal game we're accustomed to. (1 Hour ago)

KORNdog @MrWhite: i'd actually consider RE7 to be one of the safer experiences in VR becasue it is a mainstream title. i mean, it's added work from capcoms point of view (1 Hour ago)
