Blast Works: Build, Fuse & Destroy for the Nintendo Wii is a horizontal scrolling shmup developed by american company BudCat. In this game, we can create our own levels and ships. We could describe the game as the LittleBigPlanet of the shmup world. Release date is set to May 5, 2008 in America.

Well the Rez inspiration in the visuals is pretty apparent.

Actually sounds really cool, but it'd better have online file sharing and downloading, AND NO FRIEND CODES!

it looks more like everyday shooter, but then I guess rez was a big influence on that.

This guy is not being inspired by those games at all, it's based on an Free PC game by a Japanese developer, he's ben working for years now with his shotemup and they all have a simulary style, way before REZ was out.

About the game

What's up?
  • Moonwalker
Moonwalker I changed the call commands option in the controls menu, so now when i call my horse, knock or interrogate someone i only have to hold LB and move the right stick and let loose. No stick pressing. (7 minutes ago)
  • Moonwalker
Moonwalker @Executioner_UK: Oh...hmmm. I might consider disabling it, but i won't deny that it has come in handy quite a few times now. :) (24 minutes ago)
  • Sdarts
Sdarts I always played Blacklist on the highest difficult and you have so many ways of completing missions that you forget about it. Only remembered Blacklist had M&E because you guys mentioned it. (1 Hour ago)
  • Sdarts
Sdarts @Tiz: I loved Conviction's story, but M&E was screwed up, and only there to try and make up for other gameplay shortcomings. Which Blacklist nailed making M&E almost useless, didn't even use it. (1 Hour ago)
  • Tiz
Tiz @alimokrane: It was awful in Conviction and the only way to advance. Blacklist was actually a pretty amazing Splinter Cell, I think you could only use M&E on the easier difficulties. (2 Hours ago)
  • alimokrane
alimokrane @Tiz: Oh how I hated that Mark and Execute nonsense in Splinter Cell (2 Hours ago)
  • Executioner_UK
Executioner_UK @Tiz: Yeah i just checked the options.. can def disable it.. i keep forgetting about the options menu on the back button lol (2 Hours ago)
