EA recently acquired Brütal Legend, which is set to be released this fall on Xbox 360 and Playstation 3. A couple of images were recently released, available inside.
Well it looks quite nice...but you know what? They manged to fuck up the guitar in the first picture. Since when does an electric guitar have 15 frets? And what godamn guitar has the double inlay on the ninth fret? I know it's just detail but damn mr 3d guy, learn how to look at reference images :P

...and the 12th fret mark inlays are on the 9th fret!
Or MAYBE he is so badass he needed a guitar with fifteen frets to contain his awesomeness... :P
As u can tell the guy in the background of that picture couldnt handle it either and is about to explode into a pile of dust

Well a regular electric guitar usually has somewhere between 22 and 25 frets so that makes no sense at all...or do you mean that he's so awesome a guitar player that he needs a gimped guitar so that people around him won't explode out of pure awesome? ;)
^LOL, I do think it is a design choice to keep the huge-hand character design from looking awkward. Look at the spacing- one finger would cover 2 frets otherwise. I'm suprised Megido, seeing as you seem to understand a bit about 3d and design(from past posts), I figured you would understand that kind of compromise. Its not guitar sim. I can only guess that you are an experienced guitar player, and your passion blinded you...
Frozpot: Well personally i would just have modeled/textured it to be a correct guitar but like i said, i'm just whining about small details ^^
I mean, it's not like the animations are going to be correct playing anyways so where the fingers land on the fretboard matters less to me. But then again it bugs me that the player never has a pick in guitar hero as well. Just love the idea of shredding a solo with finger picking :D
I'm just a picky douche, and that's about the long and short of it :P
