EA released these images of Dante's Inferno earlier this week, after showing that beautiful trailer. The game is being developed by the same studio that did Dead Space.
Wow the screenshots look so average, like every other mediocre hack n slash game :(
I was so pumped up after the trailer lol. Might still be a cool game though, i hope.
But it seems the enemies are in fact just the same old mindless beasts we've seen in, every other game. I was hoping for a more intelligent approach than "ROARR ME SMASH!", but oh well.
This would have been okay if it werent for the fact that they market the game as a "serious Dante's Inferno representaiton".
They shouldnt even have attemted that tbh, just make a kickass slaughter-fest, cuz its obvious this game wont be true to the poem anyway.
I don't really like the design of the main character, and yeah the screens aren't that impressive, but I remember thinking the exact same things when Dead Space was first unveiled and eventually that turned out to be one of my favourite games.

This really isn't made by the "same" team. It's just in the Same Dev. team, but mainly other people that didn't work on Dead Space. I think they moved to other project or Dead Space 2/Wii.

Exactly. And people would be stupid to judge the game's graphics by these screenshots. Sure, you can only comment on what you see, but comments like "this just looks like another mediocre hack 'n' slash" is a pretty naive comment to make in my opinion.
I remember people doing the exact same thing with GTA IV, and they ended up looking very, very stupid.

The games over a year away yet - wish developers wouldnt reveal their games so far in advanced, EA arent Sony you know.
If theres one thing you can rarely fault EA on its the amount of visual polish they put into their games..so if deadspace is anything to go by then i think we'll be in for a visual treat by the time this actually hits

Sorry, I don't have a crystal bowl. So for the time being, this game's visuals will be judged on the visuals we get to see NOW. If they choose to release crappy screens, they will get feedback based on just that...crappy screens...
The screenshots are not impressive tbh but it’s in an early development state so let’s wait and see if it improves on the visually side.
I just wonder how the gameplay will turn out as I usually don’t like games like Heavenly Sword, God of War and Devil May Cry.

This was not in any way Dante's description/vision. The game may prove to be very fun but the current direction is a pretty generic interpretation of "hell". And that main character......
I realize that the accuracy of the game to it's source material is not to be taken literally, but I felt that a correction was needed.

I get that people would like to show the development or whatever, but these are just ugly any way you look at them. Wire-frames would've looked better, no joke.

Completely agree. They would have been better spent directly copying artwork that was inspired by Dante's description of hell. These just scream, video game hell.
F***. Screens looks like God of War 2. Why cant the game be like the artworks? The graph. looks dull and booring and guess this will be like every other hack and slash. Sad, cause the story is so cool.
