PC Xbox 360

Do you remember the cute animals implied in gore animations on the web? They are back, this time adapted for the videogames market with Happy Tree Friends False Alarm on PC and Xbox 360. The good news is that it'll be offered exclusively online, so it should have a reasonable price tag. You will be able to select either Flippy, Lumpy or Handy through 10 levels in a production of the action-puzzle kind.

hehe.. pretty cool. However, I'm confused. Is this a LiveArcade game or a 'fullpriced' game only available for download? Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't this a first on X360?

If so, I would think of this as much bigger news than the game it self. I know Sony has done this before on the PS3 (Warhawk) but MS to my knowledge hasn't...

PS. Kudgel - please fix the link to the official website.

frame buffer grabs dont have AA, EA cheat and output screenshots at enormous resolutions and resize to 720p, thus no aliasing at all "bullshots"

planty of games have AA lol...but AA always has a bigger difference on actual fluid visuals then static image, so in screenshots it tends to be more noticable

Yay for HTF lol

Hum? You're saying console games that actually have AA are SUPERSAMPLED? You Sir, are sorely mistaken. The rare few console games that render at a native resolution of 720p AND feature AA use multisampling at 2X or 4X. No higher and no supersampling.

IF... IF a game like Ratchet and Clank would render natively at 1080p it COULD be downscaled to 720p for true SUPERSAMPLING. But it doesnt do that and neither does probably any game on either platform.

The posters above claiming that downscaled shots are bullshots are correct. But generally a bullshot is even more manipulated, but ANY kind of manipulation (downscaling, color correction) aka non. framebuffer grab is a bullshot.

It will be better if I could chop them in half without failing the level. To beat the level I have to avoid taking damage but I wanna hurt them as much as possible, that's what HTF's about.

It better have some intense gore effects in there! I'm a fan of the intensely horrific online animation.
