Images of Overlord 2

Codemasters just announced that Rhianna Pratchett will write the scripts for the three upcoming Overlord games, and included was some nice images of Overlord II. The game will be released on Playstation 3, Xbox 360 and PC next year, and I must say it looks pretty good.

Okay, Sold. The progeny of Terry Pratchett is yet again writing the script so it's a confirmed must.

I wish they would make another AoW. :( Not that this is unwelcome. The first was highly entertaining.

The first one was really a good and addictive game, technically also very impressive ... looking really forward to part two which hopefully comes with a mini-map :)

Loved the 1st one, it stands as one of the most unique games on the market right now. Sorta like dungeon keeper meets pikmin, with a touch of fable. Of course it wasn't without its little flaws though, hopefully those parts will be improved in the sequel!

Heh, the grape sucking Greek (in pic 2) reminds me a lot of the ghost of christmas present in Disney's Mickey Mouse version of A Christmas Carol.

Just me, perhaps.

enjoyed the first, but they will need to sort out the overly complex controls for me to buy the sequel. as good as the first was, managing and controlling your imp things effectively sure was a pain in the ass, especially in the heat of battle.

meh, the first game felt too much like all you did was tell your imps what to do, you couldn't stand up against much yourself, so i found it got old FAST. This looks pretty good visually though.

I really enjoyed the first game! I'll be sure to get this for the 360.

Looks awesome.

About the game

What's up?
  • Tinks
Tinks during the 64 era Nintendo at least had Rare in their prime, but it was the start of real painful gaps in content. (3 Hours ago)
  • Tinks
Tinks if you skipped the 64, Gamecube and Wii you may not feel their software issues the same as others. From what they've shown so far they've done little to correct their previous console issues. (3 Hours ago)

GriftGFX I don't think Nintendo can or will fit the mold he expects them to though. They never have, really. (4 Hours ago)

GriftGFX Jim always presents a solid argument. I think Nintendo has more wiggle room with this thing than people think if the market responds poorly to it. A portable SKU for example. (4 Hours ago)
