Images of Sims 2: Castaway

Images of Sims 2: Castaway

Sims 2: Castaway sports the looks of Gilligan's Island : the characters are trapped on a remote island girdled by water as far as the eye can see. New images for the Nintendo Wii and Playstation 2 builds.

God, i wish people would realize what they are doing and stop buying these shit games :P This looks horrible for a PS2 game! It probably plays like ass too.

The Sims (+expansions) and The Sims 2 (+expansions) is okay, but the The Sims games to consoles has not been very good (IMO) - I just play The Sims + The Sims 2 on PC ;) hehe...

I find the sims in any version or format, especially all the god damn expansions, to be perversions. I guess my real beef is that i never understood why you'd want to clean your digital dishes or take a digital dump when you have to do it in real life as well :)

To play God. Simple as that. Also : people have boring lifes.

Kudgel: yeah i guess, but if you have a boring life, then why not play something exiting instead of "digital-do-your-dishes 2"? Just pop bioshock in there and you have something to be exited about, or like Civilization if you don't want action (just examples of more exiting games). Something that does not have "go to the crapper" as a main objective :P

Those character models are scary, seriously.

Looks horrid. The My Sims game for Wii is the direction they should head with Sims games for consoles.
Doing direct ports just doesn't work...

Bioshock isn't exactly appealing to 8-11 years old.

Kudgel: Assuming that 8 to 11 year olds is the main demographic for the sims, which i doubt, i guess bioshock is hardly a good substitute, no. At any rate there must be more exiting games aimed at kids than this? I remember playing mario, rocket knight adventures, shinobi, life force, ghosts and goblins and land stalker when i was a kid and i'm pretty sure that i would have found the sims to be boring back then too.

About the game

What's up?

GriftGFX I don't know why Cliffy left when LawBreakers looks like exactly the kind of game that he would have made at Epic :D (10 minutes ago)
  • GriftGFX
GriftGFX I think Paragon is their biggest in house project so it's been moving a bit quicker than everything else. (18 minutes ago)
  • KORNdog
KORNdog fortnite was announced what? 6 years ago? it was supposed to be one of the very first "next gen" games...granted they never specified which gen. lol (19 minutes ago)
  • GriftGFX
GriftGFX I think the constant development of Unreal Engine counts as being productive too. Heck it's the same with Valve. They are making games. Just not the games people who are complaining want to play. (19 minutes ago)
  • GriftGFX
GriftGFX @KORNdog: Paragon was released as an alpha.. it's already come a long way. They are a bit slow though. I mean.. lord know what the deal w/ Fortnite is. UT is more of a passion project though. (20 minutes ago)
  • KORNdog
KORNdog but i guess they make an engine that's used pretty much everywhere. so they don't need to be that productive. kinda like valve having steam. . (21 minutes ago)
  • KORNdog
KORNdog tbh epic have slowed to a crawl since they stopped with gears. they seem to be taking forever with everything. even paragon seem to be in perpetual beta mode. (22 minutes ago)
