Wii

Powerful begin of a week on the Dojo for Super Smash Bros. Brawl and the unveiling of a really creative stage : PictoChat, inspired by the built-in Nintendo DS functionnality of chat & drawings. As the battle progresses, forms are doodled on the level, varying from a simple cloud to a whale. The Mii and Shop channels music will be available, there's even one song from Brain Age: Train Your Brain In Minutes A Day!

You know what would be awesome? If you could draw your own stages on the DS and then transfer them over to the wii for some original action!

I guess this looks cool though :)

First off , something I just noticed. You can play as Diddy Kong! Thats cool , I know thats probably been unveiled awhile back but this is the first I've seen of it.

Brawl is going to be a great game , and yea I was thinking it would be cool if you could draw your own stages too.

I was assuming thats what you could do ...

If not, then ...thats hell of a waste.

I don't think we will see that, because the doodles in the level actually are solid or semi-solid. If you could import your drawings, they would have to add hit detection to them, which would be near impossible without some kind of map editor and objects a la TimeSplitters. What they could do though, is to add this functionnality but just to create a background.

Well, it'd be like Canvas Curse if you could do it. Which reminds me I need to kidnap someone's kids so that they'll make a sequel to that on the Wii.

Well I'd be (pleasantly) surprised then. I always wanted a map editor for Smash. They add so much replay value to a game in my case. Not that the game does not have enough, I'll play it for years (with a WaveBird!).

As tourney players have helped the development team, I'm about sure we will see flat zones like Final Destination. It just can't be avoided, and they are simpler to create. They may bring back levels from SS64 and SSBM.

Mmmmm great idea. Canvas curse was fun, and it'd be so much better on a bigger screen while my hand isn't in the way of the action :D

BTW, this is the most creative stage ever. Drawing while you're playing? Holy crap!
