Images PC Xbox 360 PS3

Zuxxez today unveiled three new images of Two Worlds 2, formerly known as The Temptation. The game is set to be released this winter on PC, Mac, Playstation 3 and Xbox 360.

Zuxxez press release:

Karlsruhe, 3rd July 2009 – in the coming winter, the role-playing world of Antaloor will once again open its portals to PC, Mac and Next-Gen consoles. Following the fantastic worldwide sales success of the game’s famous predecessor, TopWare Interactive will once again open a radically new chapter in the fantasy world of Reality Pump.

“Two Worlds II” presents a totally new gamer experience, one in which 2 years of intensive development has enabled quantum leaps in all spheres: completely overhauled AI and balancing standards, experienced authors, the active combat system and the brand-new engine all combine to provide an unforgettable experience where excitement, sheer enjoyment and graphics rule. “Two Worlds II” simply sets new technical benchmarks in the RPG genre, thanks not least to its seemingly unlimited number of dynamic light sources, micro-detail Parallax Mapping, 24 Bit HDR Post Processing, Space Ambient Occlusion and Human Eye Accommodation.

The story of “Two Worlds II” is staged a couple of years after Part 1 - and it will lead you into hitherto unexplored parts of Eastern Antaloor where you'll find many brand-new locations packed full of atmosphere - from dusty deserts to awe-inspiring temples.

Alexandra Constandache, the Executive Producer of TWII commented, “We intentionally opted for a completely independent game with radical new technology. This was the only way to ensure that we harness the enormous potential and experience gained from the making of the first “Two Worlds” project - and make full use of the further technical development of internal Reality Pump tools that has been on-going since the first “Two Worlds” was developed. This new release window gives us enough time to systematically implement both our own requirements and the feedback of the “Two World” fans, enabling us to create a breathtaking RPG experience.”

AND - we'll shortly be bringing out the next version of your hotly-awaited ““Two Worlds” magazine, the “Antaloor Post” - and in it we'll tell you all about the latest developments direct from the developers at Reality Pump! If you want to be on the inside track when it comes to having inside info about Antaloor, go to www.twoworlds2.com and register for the newsletter - you won't regret it!

Lol, that someone actually enjoyed the first game is simply... frightening. Jesus christ; it's the worst piece of shit I've ever played. Seriously. It's plain sick that they even were allowed to release it on the market...

But I wonder what's most sad; that they actually got to release it, or that some people actually consider this game as good?

I think Two Worlds is the game where the word 'perchance' is used most often. :)

I played Two Worlds all the way through, and I have to say, that the graphics is as good as Oblivion's and the melee combat is better. If they can whip up a killer story with a lot better voice acting, we could have a real Elder Scrolls competitor here.

Two Worlds 2, ArcaniA and Risen. Soon Elder Scrolls V will have to be something much much better than Oblivion, to dwarf the competition.

looks nice. only bad thing from the first one i know was all-time juddering on xbox 360. it feels like the complete game its running on 20fps. the it self was good. this sequel could be a great rpg. maybe they ad co-op on one console.

the first one was almost unplayable it lacked so much polish. Hopefully they've worked on more than the visuals for this one.. having it even attempt to run at a steady framerate would be a good start

Two Worlds is the worst game I have ever played, on any system. I don't think I'll be paying much attention to this one.

Agree.. The graphics engine literally gave me headaches, i couldnt play it cuz i constantly had a headache. It has never happened with any other game lol.
The grass was so overly sharp and grainy and kept flickering, the textures (as in these screenshots too) were so overly sharp as well..
As if they just put each texture through a heavy photoshop Sharpen filter.
Those arent details, just noise.

i actually enjoyed the first one personally. outside of the bugs and seriously terrible voice acting and story, the exploration and loot was very rewarding, and made it quite fun. combat wasnt any better or worse then oblivion, and graphically they wernt far off each other either. the world was a lot more varied too, with volcanic, desert, snow and forest areas which made the exploration a lot more fun. it wasnt perfect but it was enjoyable enough for me, especially when you're craving open world RPG's and nothing else is out there.

in terms of RPG's i think too human was a a LOT worse, and yet people managed to enjoy that too, to each his own i guess

will probably play, and enjoy this one too.

Please, please, please don't seriously compare the piece of junk that is Two Worlds to a great game like Oblivion. It's embarassing.

they share a LOT of similarities, avoiding comparrisons would be idiotic. they're practically the same game, but each does somethings better then the other.

No, suggesting that the gulf in quality between the two titles isn't that big is idiotic.

The PC version of Two Worlds was actualy good but the X360 port was a disaster.I don't think they used even the multicore technology in the X360.Everythig was running on 1 core and this was te cause of the 10fps and overall bad performance of the game.I think the sequal will be alot better on the X360 with full multicore support.

Too Human was a strange one... i loved it at first, but i almost destroyed the disc before i completed my first run through of it.. it has some of the most frustrating gameplay to ever grace a game.

I then played through it again on co-op and thats when it starts to shine. The frustrating gameplays still there..but its shared. And collecting/swaping loot was fun. Infact it was actually a very good game in places, and i still think of it fondly - but then i havent played it in about 8 months and i know if i ever did pick it up again i'd start to see all the short comings in it again.

I do hope they continue the supposed trilogy though.. and i really hope they LISTEN to the feedback they got from the first one to make the second what the first should of been.

4 player co-op would help.

Haha, word. The first time I played it I got migraine... no, I'm not kidding. I just played for one hour or something like that, then I had to take migraine pills and sleep for a good while... that's kinda crazy.
