We need more people to post on these forums. See if you can't get some peeps from xboxyde over here (i doubt it though), Blim. This game looks a lot better than before, thats for sure. They went with a dark theme instead of the cartoonish theme, they had a couple months ago. They still need to do more to this game. The Humans in screen shot 8 arent running or helping the hero when the beastmen are getting killed. Need more enimies aswell. Though this game is shaping real fast and real good. I like the new direction of the game. Screw the kiddys. I just noticed you added an ignore feature.

well the game looks alright, art is poor... HS looks much more impressive in every sense. I also think the lightening effect was incredibly unimpressive...Its a hack and slash so this one will need to be special to be interesting, cant really see it. Still the game looks alright, but the main man seems to be running away alot, whats with that?

Why the hell 1080p?
I think it's just a waste of recources.
I'm sure there's plenty of stuff they could have done additionally when running at 720p that are far more important then running in a higher resolution!

anyone else feel that they are looking at (slightly) upscaled images? Either that or there is some odd bluring going on because of that rather ugly bloom effect.

These screens look horrible, the character models look OK, but the background textures look horrible.

because 1080p is a gimmick. Basically its just a mines bigger than yours thing from sony. I dont understand it myself, at the moment 1080p is just bottlenecking the graphics. Advanced effects we have seen in 360 games arnt making it into these 1080p rendered games. I do know however that lots of other 3rd partys are doing theres in 720p so that they can match the visual flare of the already good looking nextgen titles. Pushing 1080p is just silly if you ask me.

1080p because Sony has to prove that the offerings are not just a gimmick and although it's too early to truly show good 1080p games, Sony has to make sure people see the quality of it.

The game on the other hand looks interesting. It's one of those "time wasting titles" that will keep you satisfied until MGS4 or HS or something you *really* want comes out.

i'm already set on buying Motorstorm for launch so if this is coming out at launch, it already lost me but if it is coming out sometime between Launch and Feb 07, I might pick it up.

Heavenly Sword and Metal gear solid 4 are 1080p?? i thought they were 720p..

do we have to have a 1080p supporting HD tv to get the full benefit? would there be some major scaling issues if you play a 1080p game on a 720p HD tv??

I didn't say they were 1080p.....Only my first paragraph was about the 1080p support, my second paragraph was commenting on the game.

This game does not impress me at all. It looks like an upscaled PS2 game. 1. Where is the motion blur? 2. Where is the HDR we come to expect from these Next Gen games? 3. Is this game single player only or do we have the option to play co-op? I think the gameplay is repetitive and without innovation. This game needs another year of development to let the developers open up the worlds and create something more special instead of something that has been done before. Critically, this game will not fair to well against games like Oblivion where the world is huge and open not linear. My prediction is that this game will sell okay because of the fans but it will not be a commercial hit with the critics. The next version after this will probably live up to everyone's expectations. -elfuego

Yes you need a 1080p input capable HDTV set to have the full benefit.

Also, unless Sony mess this up badly, you should be able to set the resolution that you want your ps3 to output to. So if you have 720p set you set it to 720p, or if you only have a standard def tv (like the vast majority) you set it to 480i.
