Bethesda Softworks has released some screenshots of Wolfenstein: The New Order. In this alternative world of 1960, Nazi's have won World War II and own a mysterious advanced technology. Using enemies' weapons, advanced Nazi tech and featuring underwater exploration, Nazi war machines, players will control B.J. Blazkowicz across Europe to bring down the facilities, super soldiers and giant robots. Coming in Q4 2013 for current- and next-gen consoles and PC.

I'm pleasantly surprised, this looks wonderful. I love overall "future nazi" theme and design is top notch.

Oh wow, look at that city concept art!

Interesting looking weapons and enemies. Is this being done by some former Starbreeze devs? Excited.

Really? Does t look that great to me, much like the last one. It does the job though i guess. The lack of any mutliplayer and what will undoubtably be a shallow, simplistic single player, seems to be setting itself up for failure...love to be proven wrong though, because i did enjoy return and ET.

If it's anything like RTCW in it's pacing and atmosphere, then it should be good. That game was bloody excellent. And the design for the city here is good. I'd imagine that's exactly the kind of structures the Nazi's would build if they won the war.

B.J. Blazkowicz FTMFW!!! sign me up I want to play this.

An alternate history or parallel universe jives with some of the stuff in RTCW and its sequel, and the relation (be it 3d engine) the game has with Doom and opening a portal or perhaps traveling to a parallel universe where B.J. Blazkowicz has to blow away the nazi menace.

Wolfestein: The new order? It sounds like that sentence written in the dollar bill ($) Novus Ordus Seclorum (New world order) under the pyramid and the eye. Graphic-wise the game seems decent but not too awesome, it stays in the line and it looks polished. But the artwork might not be too convincing for everyone. The nazi setting is obviously not too original, and may be a bit repetitive for some people. We will have to check the gameplay out.

Return to Castle Wolfestein was really good, yes, that I can say, the dedication they put graphic and gameplay wise by that time (old times now). But don't know what to expect about this, something seems strange, something feels weird. It seems focused on another direction.

Jesus you come off as a real cunt sometimes. You aren't even assuming, you are just MAKING SHIT UP. Shallow and simplistic? Coming from a studio made up of guys from a studio that is really well known for nailing single player only shooters?
And the last game wasn't bad by any stretch, it was just underappreciated because no one played it because Activision pretty much just shat it out with zero fanfare.
You have very little idea how good this game will be, but it's got good things going for it. The franchise has a good track record and the folks making it do as well, specifically for this kind of game.

Alternate, alternate history in which the Nazis won in the Wolfenstein universe.

Well, it's running on idTech and id has basically said "these devs are awesome and we're behind them on this." Other than that, though, I don't think so. They may be giving a bit of input though, I don't know.
