Also he sounds a bit Snake-ish, which is a huge plus. XD
Dark and light side meaning 2 sided endings and perspectives.
Each side has its own way of using its power, organized gameplay.
With Prototype, all you do is destroy everything and kill everything you see, it will become boring after a while.
I got money to buy ONE game, the rest is gonna go to NGS 2 later this year.
Both have somewhat same type of gameplay concept (not much but still), one is more "go wild" one is more organized.
Anyway, I think both are pretty neat, but inFamous seems to have a bit more flesh on it in my opinion, which is why I am leaning torwards it more.
If you guys saw the slow motion video, some of those combos looked awesome to pull off, and I am imagining that with nice imaginination and style from the player they could do some nice moves with those powers.
Both voices are "generic" if you ask me, Cole (inFamous) seems to lean more towards the Solid Snake type or the other guy in Watchmen with white face and a hat.
Hope its good.
( I didn't say that this game has a horrible draw-distance effect on everything? Random guy just talks, runs away, and pops-out of the screen at the end :\ )
lol @ Voice. Why, hello there Batman (C. Bale or C. Eastwood).
Prototype is the kind of games that has only gamplay like saint raw, and im sure it will get repetitive.
Wow the voice acting is TERRIBLE, I hope it's just for these promo videos. Talk about generic 'tough guy #918721"
In the end they're both going to be repetitive and this in my eyes looks to feel monotonous sooner, hell it feels that way watching the videos. The karma system is just standard stuff and he looks just as "over powered" as the guy from prototype.
if infamous has a more involved mission structure then just destroying stuff (which already it looks like it has) then i think infamous will have the more solid narrative and playability. but you're right, they will both get repetative at some point, as ALL games do, i just think prototype will reach that point sooner, purley because the game is SO centred around destruction. you only have to look at saints row 2 or merc 2 to see similarly destruction/violence based games and how they got incredibly old, incredibly fast.
but we'll see, only a few months left.
you think coles powers are comparable to elbow dropping a tank? lol
but we'll see, only a few months left.
Doesn't it seem as a silly and over the top gameplay, as prototype?
How aren't they... dude just jumps in the air and makes a forcefield in hist feet to KICKDROP a enormous truck to smithereens.
Doesn't it seem as a silly and over the top gameplay, as prototype?
meh the truck is easy to take down, land on top and zap the block. And yes I do think his powers are comparable to elbow dropping a tank I mean no one even got close to him in this game either and I feel infamous will reach the boring repetitive point sooner, too much zap zap for me and doesn't vary its powers etc enough. Story and narrative look crap albeit prototype is worst. They both clearly end up relying on the general fun factor which prototype from what I have seen wins by miles. And I know all game get repetitive I wasn't trying to pin point it on these two titles but prototype looks to last longer with good repetition than infamous.
could'nt dissagree more really. but to each his own i guess. mercs 1/2 and saints row 2 proove to me that mindless destruction = boring game.
I'm gonna have to LOL at those who give this game props for animation- Pretty weak if you ask me. And please don't bring up the slow-mo vid, because if you've ever animated anything yourself, you know it always looks better in slow-mo. The Good/Evil thing looks WAY shallow is this one too- He practically holds your hand through it.
reminds me of rorschach...which is awesome...cheesy, but awesome.
its like he is in class.....
