Infernal images & 3D image

Infernal images & 3D image

Playlogic's Infernal got itself an own 3D image and a couple of new screenshots from the PC version today. It was called Diabolique earlier, but they've now done alot of changes, including changing the name. Can't say I'm impressed, but there's more than 6 months till release. Remember that you need Quick Time to fully use the 3D image.

6 months is a long time in development, but if they can't even get the guy to hold a gun properly it looks bad.

But in a 2-3 year dev time, the last 6 months the game is typically content and feature complete and only bugs and optimization and gameplay balance/refinement are done. e.g. At last E3 almost every game was content complete and they spent the remainder of the time porting and bug fixing.

Looks quite mediocre graphically but if the game ends up being fun to play I don't really care. Especially the first shot looks bad with that LEGO-MP5 and pixelated muzzleflash. Placeholders probably. I hope.

What's with the weird superimposed character in the third shot?

Optimization will hopefully yeild some kind of filtering for the graphics though, they look raw as hell at the moment. Maybe they just don't have a clue how to use shaders effectively.

Melmoth also helps if you easily get nauseous driving/flying in VR as what you see is more in sync with what your body feels. (10 minutes ago)

Melmoth sorta like force feedback wheels and rumble on gamepads are feed with data (13 minutes ago)
  • Sdarts
Sdarts @Melmoth: Yes, I've read all of the description. It works for games, music, movies, TV shows and other type of videos. As well as for just relaxing. It's a great idea for increasing immersion. (14 minutes ago)
  • Melmoth
Melmoth motors which is in the seat. Like how (positive) g-force will activate the seat motors on each side of your thighs to simulate that effect (17 minutes ago)
  • Melmoth
Melmoth @Sdarts: The thing with this one is that it isn't just a soundmodule responding to frequencies. This taps into the games (see supported list) and gets data from them, processes and applies to the 8 (18 minutes ago)
  • Sdarts
Sdarts Btw, you can fly in the backseat of fighter jets by the US Navy, but it costs an arm and a leg, or you need to be very famous to be able to have a request approved. (23 minutes ago)
