Infinite Undiscovery images and date

Square-Enix announced today the world simultaneous release of Infinite Undiscovery on September 2, and released these three new images to hype us a bit for the new trailer that should be released tomorrow. Let's just up that the "world" also includes Europe and not just Japan and the US.
Update: Added 5 more images. Square-Enix also announced the release date for Europe: September 5! What a nice surprise :)

The trailer had really bad character animations :/ but beside that, I gotta play it badly.

Storyline seems a little out there, but it does look very good.
What exactly is an "innuendo dive"?

Interesting. Also, when the hell is Last Remnant coming out? Thought it was supposed to be this year as well.

This game uses Unreal Engine 3 (right?). If so, that would explain the shorter dev. time.

nope. it use tri-ace own engine(it used to be SO4 engine too)

and IU dev 10 years till now.

It is set to contain 10 years worth of ideas from Yoshiharu Gotanda and is being designed "with the thought that the Xbox 360 would be able to realize our plans"

first 360 screen dated mid 2006

No, it's afaik a new engine by Tri-Ace. I think they said so in an interview with IGN.
They developed it to use it in their further games for the PS3 and Xbox 360.

Idk the announcing of attacks seems kinda silly for the NA voices "Launching boats!"?!? xD idk but thats how I heard that one attack in the trailer, but it looks pretty good nontheless.

This shall come out on the ps3 OR MS allows me to trade my current 360 for an HDMI enabled one! (are 360's - newly built ones - more silent these days?).

No, it's down to the DVD drive and it runs at maximum speed when reading every time. The Devs can reduce the speed but I haven't heard of any that does it.

OT: This is looking good indeed. Never been into JRPGs but after LO I ot to play this one...

As Viginti_Tres mentioned, the dvd-drive is to blame for the sound.

As there are new 360's, there are new dvd-drives too. And my brother has definetily a more silent dvd-drive(BenQ) than the one I had(Samsung). I bought mine early 2007 and he bought his just recently (falcon).

I think Xbox-scene came to the conclusion that BenQ-drives are more silent than the earlier models solely due to better and more soundproof desing&manufacturing.

Probably the further the developement gets with 360, the more silent it becomes. Maybe the next revision (Jasper?) is more silent, I think it's coming out early this fall, after summer anyway :P

the graphics look very good and the gameplay fun, but the englsh voices are horrible *ugh* - I hope they have the japanese voice overs on the disc aswell

well, definitely still seems like jap devs cant make good use of current gen graphics, because that trailer looked horribly dated, shoddy models, poor texturing, and last gen animation.

I do agree with you. I guess it's good news for JRPG fans, but It really doesn't look good, as far as I'm concerned.
So far Capcom is the only japanese studio to take advantage of the hardware this gen. I suppose FF13 is gonna rock, though...

looks very pretty, i hope it has a story to match.

So glad its not adopted the classic jrpg turn based fighting system. Thats put me off every final fantasy (theres only so many times you be forced to sit through a cut scene during yet another random battle)

I agree with you, I liked the trailer a lot but god the VAs are awful. Here's another hoping for Jap VA track on the disc as well. Hopefully they'll have better lip syncing by the time the game hits as well.

You should try FF13 or FF: Crisis Core.

About the game

What's up?
  • Tiz
Tiz If Joe Staten is working on H6, then they have a lot less to worry about as he can steer Halo's cinematic direction very well. (2 Hours ago)
  • Tiz
Tiz @amerakindesi: I think the planets are aligning quite nicely for Halo 6. They don't have to worry so much about multiplayer save for map design. Now they can focus efforts on the campaign. (2 Hours ago)
  • aphex187
aphex187 Best Xmas game evah! :D [url] (3 Hours ago)
  • amerakindesi
amerakindesi @Tiz: halo definitely relies more on individual skill, because every one is essentially the same character. halo is a still a great idea of a game. i hope they improve on "halo" for 6 (3 Hours ago)
  • docLEXfisti
docLEXfisti Snatcher was awesome, played it on the European Mega CD (5 Hours ago)
  • droezelke
droezelke @Moonwalker: I agree. Other than the Metal Gear series, he didn't really present something as good. And I thought MGS5 was ultra boring (6 Hours ago)
  • nostradamus
nostradamus never played snatcher, but policenauts has a awesome scenario. (6 Hours ago)
