Pretty interesting idea with gravity, nice colors too.

Demo would be nice.

I'm sure some devs think the only chance they have with a shooter is if they approach it from some entirely different way. This one looks neat enough i suppose in theory but does it actually make for more fun past the 5 minutes it takes you to realise it's still just a shooting game- but one that has you hanging upside down instead. On paper it probably sounded brilliant at the time and that's maybe the problem

I'm only guessing at this point what it plays like from the footage and while i can hardly blast a company trying to put a spin on things, it's a move i don't think works any more now that we've seen so many spins already in this genre

Sadly looks like it will bomb

still reminds me of fracture. Did the same thing. Introduced a new gameplay gimmick (terrain deformation abilities) on top of the regular shooting mechanics, but the novelty wore off since the gimmick wasnt as appealing as it should have been. Another case of great in theory, not so great in execution. Games like timeshift and singularity where the same. They have these additional gameplay elements that dont gel with the overall experience the way it should, thus it feels like a bog standard shooter with a gimmick thrown in.

To make these sort of things work the gimmick needs to be so deeply imbedded into the very core of the gameplay that it stops being a gimmick entirely. Red faction guerrilla, while a commercial flop, did this really well. The destruction didnt feel like an afterthought to the shooting. It felt integral to the gameplay. This game lacks that imo. It looks like a shooter with a gravity gimmick. Which is probably what it is.

If you watch videos of this game it doesn't look like a gimmick or a small part of the game

Neither did fracture, but it was.

I seen some various gameplay videos, so I am not just speaking from these screenshots.

If you ask me, this looks horrible for a current gen shooter. These graphics are already possible on a ipad 2 (see Rage HD eg). I agree with Korn that it's a gimmick shooter. Gimmicks never work for long. First make a good shooter, then think about possible gimmicks.

the worst part is the sub-HD resolution, and the fact that is apparent. In youtube videos, the multiplayer comes off as really decent.

That's exactly what they shouldn't do, IMO. The "gimick" needs to be perfectly integrated with the core gameplay. That's really the only way to do it right..
