RTL Games released these images a trailer of Ion Assault, an upcoming Shooter for XBLA to be released this summer. Very impressive stuff in motion. Update: HD version.
RTL is a garbage private TV broadcaster from Germany (and by garbage I mean utter trash). They buy any successful format from the UK (Britain's got Talent... you name it they have it), and make it 1000x worse by putting some of the most annoying twats as jurors in front of some freaks (I know you got them freaks too, but not any you'd gladly punch right in the face). I won't buy anything what comes from their direction, and I refuse to believe anything good can come out of them. /rant

Im interested, but i dont like how its still tied to a small box area like Geometry Wars. I'd much rather have it be like Powerup Forever where you can travel in any direction forever.

yeah, stardust Hd is like that too, just a sphere so you can just go on forever, you never get backed into a corner.

That's literally exactly what I was going to say, so kudos. Looks interesting, though I'm not sure, as you say it looks a little confusing and they ramped up the particle effects a lot. But I guess just like GW and SSHD it's very busy at first but you'd get used to it, and it's better than it being boring.

Seriously, who cares? As a german, I can't complain about RTL altough I have to agree that a lot of their games are really trash.
Besides, this is the wrong place for patriotism ;)
Ion Assault looks pretty sweet. I love these little arcade shooters with a lot of action and cool, modern graphics.
