Good to see that they're going to release a demo; I'll be giving that a try at the very least.

I'll wait for some reviews and give the demo a go i think. It looks kinda shit but if it plays well it might be worth a go. Looks promising enough conceptally if nothing else.

I want this game. But I'll guess I will not pre-order until I have tried the demo.

I have been following this game for awhile. I was intrigued by your sh* comment. Do you mean the graphics, world gameplay? I believe the cartoony look is to perhaps snag the WOW enthusiast and ensure a non-jarring transition to MMO graphics which I guess will share the same engine and perhaps same locations.

So far everything shown looks great, this will satisfy the loot hoarder and the combat looks like it will be fun. Basically the impression I have from all the preview footage is that this will succeed at being a better Fable than Fable with all the perks of diablo-style loot, and a crafting system too.

I would like at least the ability to adventure with at least 1 co-op slot, but I guess that they are omitting that based on the possibility that it will detract from the focused story telling of RA Salvatore .

I can not understand why this is not an mmo. But.. Ok. Maybe I'll try it too.

I meant graphically, yes. Even if they want to go for a WoW look it still looks very boxy and empty.

The game itself seems good but it cannot stand the visuals, a dated graphics engine and a visual style that is more than a bit close to wow and that is not a good thing imo.

Though I can understand your dislike for this particular graphics style(Im not a fan either) IMO is not that bad to call it "shit"

All those effects and stuff make it nice looking.

Again, i don't mind the style, the game just looks empty and boxy. The world just doesn't feel alive at all.

About the game

What's up?
  • KORNdog
KORNdog I mean, compare the clunky, awkwards gloo gun/wrench combo with the "one/two punch" of bioshock. Its night and day the level of quality on display. (1 Hour ago)
  • KORNdog
KORNdog @Moonwalker: i found it boring. And the combat was too shitty to handle the fast small mimics particularly well. It just isn't a very well done game. Which sucks. (1 Hour ago)
  • Moonwalker
Moonwalker @KORNdog: True but still Prey could be great. I definitely enjoyed that first hour and I really liked the Mimic aspect, it sure is different. (1 Hour ago)
  • KORNdog
KORNdog @Moonwalker: dishonored 2 was amazing. You can tell its a different team than prey. (1 Hour ago)
  • Moonwalker
Moonwalker Did anyone play Dishonored 2 here? I'm enjoying the game more and more and that time piece was awesome! I love that kind of stuff in gaming. (2 Hours ago)

Moonwalker @KORNdog: I really enjoyed the demo and I want to play more. Agreed about music and Bethesda has acknowledged it as an issue. Fixed at launch. (2 Hours ago)
