Good to see that they're going to release a demo; I'll be giving that a try at the very least.

I'll wait for some reviews and give the demo a go i think. It looks kinda shit but if it plays well it might be worth a go. Looks promising enough conceptally if nothing else.

I want this game. But I'll guess I will not pre-order until I have tried the demo.

I have been following this game for awhile. I was intrigued by your sh* comment. Do you mean the graphics, world gameplay? I believe the cartoony look is to perhaps snag the WOW enthusiast and ensure a non-jarring transition to MMO graphics which I guess will share the same engine and perhaps same locations.

So far everything shown looks great, this will satisfy the loot hoarder and the combat looks like it will be fun. Basically the impression I have from all the preview footage is that this will succeed at being a better Fable than Fable with all the perks of diablo-style loot, and a crafting system too.

I would like at least the ability to adventure with at least 1 co-op slot, but I guess that they are omitting that based on the possibility that it will detract from the focused story telling of RA Salvatore .

I can not understand why this is not an mmo. But.. Ok. Maybe I'll try it too.

I meant graphically, yes. Even if they want to go for a WoW look it still looks very boxy and empty.

The game itself seems good but it cannot stand the visuals, a dated graphics engine and a visual style that is more than a bit close to wow and that is not a good thing imo.

Though I can understand your dislike for this particular graphics style(Im not a fan either) IMO is not that bad to call it "shit"

All those effects and stuff make it nice looking.

Again, i don't mind the style, the game just looks empty and boxy. The world just doesn't feel alive at all.

About the game

What's up?

Sdarts The Witcher games - and books - aren't perfect, but nothing is. For what they are and what they have accomplished, I thank both the author and the developers from the bottom of my heart. (3 minutes ago)

Sdarts And it ran for years under the radar of almost everyone before the anime, then it suddenly became an enourmous worldwide success. In a way, the same happened with The Witcher books and the games. (4 minutes ago)

Sdarts @Megido: Just because certain works aren't very popular doesn't mean that they aren't great. Take for example Shingeki no Kyojin (Attack on Titan), the manga is even better than the anime. (5 minutes ago)

Sdarts @GriftGFX: English. And also listened to them in English. Same with Game of Thrones' books. (5 minutes ago)

Sdarts Although the games' writing isn't at the same level as the books', it's still far, far, far vastly better than 99% of the writing in games, movies, TV shows and books. CD Projekt RED did an epic job. (6 minutes ago)

GriftGFX @Sdarts: Cool.. what language did you read them in? (6 minutes ago)
  • Sdarts
Sdarts @GriftGFX: From someone who read and even listened to all The Witcher books before playing the games. The books are on par with The Lord of the Rings, The Hobbit, and Harry Potter books imho. (7 minutes ago)
