That's a really gruesome first picture but it looks good. I want to see some gameplay video though before making my mind up if I'm going to get this or not.

Agreed, it is a bit worrying that no gameplay footage has been shown, but I reckon the whole package will overcome the occasional low-poly model. But yeah, in this day and age, a bit lame.
I couldn't care less about a low poly, low res textured model. I'm so incredibly blown away by the facial animation that the game could look even worse in other respects, and I'd still be eagerly anticipating it.
Shocking a game published by Rockstar hasn't shown gameplay. Utterly shocking and shifts the industry with this breaking marketing strategy by Rockstar would had dozens upon dozens of gameplay vids for RDR, GTA series, or Bully. Did Manhunt even have gameplay videos prior to launch?

Yeah... that's kinda worrying to be honest.
They're waiting the right time, because it might blow people's expectations. And they'll need to readjust for damage control, saying, "hey, GTA fans, it'll still have shooting! It's not just detective stuff, we threw a little something for you action duders!"

eh.. I don't see how it's that much of an issue. Yes, it's low res and it looks pretty rough up close, but it's still perfectly clear what it is.
I also think that Rockstar not being afraid to post such an image demonstrates that they aren't overly worried about being, technically, the best game, but rather shots such as these, show that they are interested in getting the best out of what they have. Their art direction is second to none.
